http://www.andiemitchell.com/2013/06/24/putting-my-mom-on-a-diet-week-1-meal-plan-and-weigh-in/ read all the weeks. excellent balanced approach, pics, calorie counts. i refer to it often for meal ideas.

i think i posted my response on the wrong thread, sorry!

i agree pumping adds tons of time. i find it much easier to ebf. i want to pump just a bit so i have some in the freezer in case of emergency but that's all i plan to do. on finding time to exercise- i remember having this reAlization with my first: i could either: 1- pack up the baby, drive to the gym, work out while…

are you is the U.S.? thanksgiving is coming up. i'd keep the deficit--you'll probably be 1000 cal over thurs & fri. a couple of pieces of pie with whipped cream would do it.

okay, agree that your parents are totally inappropriate & to stop listening to their abuse. however, i found as i lost weight people definitely looked at my body more. maybe just consider if YOU want the miniskirt. Maybe you want to draw attention to your beautiful face instead. you'll attract certain types of people with…

i pick some favorites to splurge on ex pumpkin pie & stuffing. i try to keep other stuff out of the house. i also have a green salad and steamed veg out. the one meal i have what i want, with some salad & veg to fill up some of the plate. i plan for that day and a few days of leftovers to be high, then eat lighter meals…

ronisweigh.com is a good blogger who used to be about weight loss but is also about self acceptance and choosing to be healthy. i also like her food/meal ideas site greenlitebites . you might enjoy her as a new positive & healthy role model. :)

if you lost one lb- 1 1/2 lbs a week that's 20 pounds by christmas. very reasonable, or by jan.

i think it depends a lot on your body, activity, etc. If you are losing about 1 lb a week and have good milk supply you're prob at a good level. If you lose more than 2lbs a week, your milk supply may go down, so add in a few hundred cals and see if that's a good level. you may need to keep adjusting for a while to see…

mfp always has me in the red, of course, as over calories, but i ignore that. i look at the nutrition graph for the week to make sure i'm basically on track. another thought is you could say you are 'very active' even if you're not because it will adjust your calories up.

i'm interested if there's a setting for that as well. what i've been doing for 3rd trimester calories is setting app for maintenance, then eating 300-500 cal over per day. bfd'ing is supposed to be 500 cal/day over maintenance as well, but you may need to try that and adjust based on your body.

i used to eat ff like 1-2x a day. it was ridiculous! here are some things that helped me: 1. got over a diet coke addiction. that was so hard. but often i'd crave the diet coke (from mcd's) and the salty food with it. i gradually switched over to iced tea, sometimes water w lemon. what are you craving that sends you there?…

http://greenlitebites.com/2014/02/warm-chocolate-chia-pudding/ so yummy. i have added egg yolks(good), egg whites ( weird consistency if that bothers you, but still good), but never protein powder. :)

me too. i'm hungry 1 hr after oatmeal

one of my friends who had 7 siblings & their family lived on a teacher's salary had lots of salads-filling. they'd not get any prewashed greens, just normal lettuces and wash and chop. their mom also belonged to a food co-op. and they had beans lots of different ways- she'd soak & cook up large quantites and freeze for…

great ideas here. wanted to add eggs - can be scrambled, used in fried rice (brown rice+veg), hard boiled for snacks, used in egg salad sandwiches or omelettes(w leftover meats, cheeses & veg ). also beans& rice, soups.

Oh thank you! You are a pro for sure too and somehow my friends with 7&8 kids are still alive so that's encouraging! I'm due early Nov 3rd. Congrats to you too! I like the idea of having the kids help more. I was thinking about that yesterday, at least train them in taking stuff out of the freezer, thawing under hot water,…

when i get sick of meat i like cottage cheese & greek yogurt (plain, w a little fruit nuts or cinnamon or added to smoothies).

This is my 4th. But life is much busier now than w the first! homework, school, homeschooling, etc. I'm already maxed out and just trying to think ahead so we're not eating junk. Thank you for your empathy & kind words. :)

I find the meals all start to feel the same -- what are your 3 fav meals you make in it? no recipes needed just the general idea! thanks!!
-
I've thought about a meal prep place, so good to know you liked it. I might try it. Mostly I don't want the work later. :) Thanks!

green: spinach, cukes, apple orange: ginger, carrots, oranges or apples.

i agree & very filling.

i had good results with pcos with atkins/southbeach type diets. it helped w the extra weight & acne and i've had no trouble getting pregnant 4x . believing you will have healing too!

in the fall i love pumpkin pie oatmeal (pumpkin pie spices+ pumpkin) and cinnamon apple (i microwave a bunch of diced apple so it's really soft then throw it in w/ the oatmeal in the morning). gives you lots of bulk to fill you up.

cottage cheese, greek yogurt, edamame. beef jerky, pouch salmon/tuna. not sure of exact carb counts though but these have been helping me w protein
-
typically, i 1. get whatever i want to eat (veg or lean protein or whatever) 2. focus on conversation and usually no one notices or cares 3. if they do, i say with a smile, 'oh, no thanks. i'm good' and ask them a question about themselves to change the subject. 4. repeat 3 as much as needed

Hopefully you will see this despite being so long after your orig question. you are prob about 26 weeks now so still an entire trimester to go. i'm 28 weeks and have gained much less w this baby but my baby's weight via ultrasound is good and i 've had a healthy pregnancy. the most helpful things have been for me: 1.…
