One of my favorites is a salad of spring mix with grilled chicken, strawberries, blueberries, apples, blue cheese, toasted nuts and a zesty vinaigrette dressing. Chick-fil-a has one and that's where I first discovered this combination. I've made a copy cat one at home ever since!

I hit 10,000 steps on my rest day! I go to the gym Monday through Friday and exercise outside on Saturday (walk, hike, etc) so hitting at least 15,000 steps is easy on those days. However Sunday is usually my rest day and I usually get less than 7,000 steps. But yesterday I hit 10,000!

I registered for my first 5K yesterday! I'm doing it with a group of friends and the plan is to walk most of it but it's in June so I have enough time to work up to being comfortable with jogging some of it!

I usually do 25 minutes on the elliptical then 25 on the treadmill. I'm always starving after!

I distinctly remember one day last summer that I had on a certain pair of jeans that were so tight it was uncomfortable to sit down. I'm wearing them today and I definitely should have worn a belt! I can nearly fit my arm in the waist!

Over the weekend, I made freezer breakfast sandwiches of a whole wheat english muffin, one egg, one slice of cheese and 2 1/2 slices of Canadian bacon (I just divided up the entire package among the 6 sandwiches). I had two last night that I was so excited about! I finally fit back into a pair of riding (horse riding) pants that were too tight to wear a few months ago. And then while I was riding, I was a lot less winded than I normally would be. An hour at the gym every morning is paying off!

I go to my local Planet Fitness. It would be awesome if it had a pool because I'd love to add swimming to my regular exercise, but overall I do love it!

I have the same problem! I'm behind a desk for 45 hours a week - definitely doesn't help my weight problem! Every time I go use the bathroom (which is a lot because I drink tons of water!!) For me, this was just FORCING myself to do it. I used to try to go to the gym after working for 9 hours, but I could rarely find the energy. Every night I do a plank before I go to bed. A month ago I started out at 30 seconds and that was a struggle. Last night I did 45 seconds! It's not a lot but any progress is good progress! (And for a scale victory... this morning I officially lost 10 pounds! *happy dance*)

Breakfast was an egg over a slice of 12 grain toast. Morning snack was a glazed maple pecan and sea salt KIND bar. Lunch was a pepperoni pizza Lean Pocket with a light string cheese and an apple. And lots of water!

This morning when my alarm went off at 5:45 to get to the gym before work, I seriously contemplated going back to sleep for another hour. But I reminded myself that another hour of sleep wasn't going to help me lose weight and I got my butt to the gym! And my jeans I have on today fit a lot looser than they use to!
