I started working part time and I'm finding it harder to get on here every day. I'm minding my food choices and my fiber, so that's ok.
-
If you need protein because of weight lifting or other exercise or because of a vegetarian diet (I know you can get enough protein on a veg. diet) then you should drink it but maybe check the calories and make sure you aren't getting over your limit.

I missed logging my food for a couple of days--back to it, though.
-
It takes time for this to all work and make a difference, doesn't it?
-
I bought a cheap "look alike" to try out and at least count my steps but I can't seem to wear it. I'm afraid a nicer one would just sit on my dresser, too.

Hi, rfrieman, I'm not sure I'm responsible enough to be an accountability buddy :D but I'm sure we can inspire each other. Friend me, if you like. Congratulations on losing 14 pounds! It's not very easy.
-
Hi, Lesa4OU! That's just what I did--lost weight then put it back on--so I'm back here, too. We'll do it :)

There's a snow storm going on. It's finally looking like February Guess the groundhog didn't lie when he saw his shadow.

I've been counting walking I do for errands, which adds up, but not like those stairs :)
-
I got your friend message!
-
That is alot of stairs!

Logging my food has been my greatest help/ motivator, along with meeting people through these groups. I know we can do it, ambootcamp!

I find that if I log my food, no matter if I'm over on calories or not, it helps me stay on track. I'm also trying to get 25 g of fiber everyday, so I log in to make sure I track that. It really helps because I can't keep track in my head throughout the day (so I have to log in). It's great to have a trainer! Sounds like…

Hi, harborgirl! Life happens is right! You're welcome to friend me. I think we'll all inspire each other to do this!

Hi, Pearlymay8! if you're in South Carolina we aren't close enough to get together but you're welcome to friend me. I've been away from MFP for a few months and gained back some weight; I'm back on track now, though. Maybe a monthly fitness challenge would help us all with exercise.
-
I'm restarting, too, after being away for several months and regaining some of the weight I'd lost. You're welcome to friend me. Good luck.
-
Good luck, Helenbeee!
-
Good for you, curvygirl! It feels great to wear smaller pants  I just checked in for the first time in months ( weighed when I started again last week so I'd know where I was). I'm glad to have the accountability of the weekly check-in.
-
You'll do it, Mick!

Those holidays! So easy to overeat with all the special foods we make.

Welcome Andrea! I haven't tried a lot of diets except the South Beach for the entire family--works but the low carb first phase is hard, and it's expensive to cook. So, my daughter and I are both using MFP (she's lost 50 pounds and looks terrific) and I"m . . . starting again.
-
I'm just returning to MFP this week after being absent for several months (and gaining back almost all the weight I lost initially). Life's difficulties can really throw us, can't they? The support of this group will help keep both of us on track :)
-
Happy New Year! It's been a good start so far, and I'm back on MFP for a restart. Best wishes for the New Year to everyone!
-
I'm just coming back, too. Nice to meet you, irisgal! I'll make sure my diary is open.
-
I'm just coming back, too. Nice to meet you both!

Lemon juice adds a little salt flavor--it's a salt substitute in a salt-free diet--and it would help with dryness. Depends on how much leftover chicken you have but just a little would be enough. Or, try lemon pepper.

I can do low carb (but high carbs seems to be my favorite food :o ) and I seem to do high fat, at least it's hard not to go over, but these haven't helped me so far :D Well, more seriously, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law both lost weight on the Atkins diet. I'm sure I couldn't follow any plan like that. Exercise is…

I'm just returning to MFP (today!) after gaining back the weight I lost :/ I retired in May and have enjoyed staying home--it's nice to be able to not go anywhere unless you want to! I liked my thinner self but it was so easy to gain. I'm sure we'll all inspire each other!
-
Interesting article--not getting enough sleep seems to me the most likely of their list. cmercertaylor: I'm just coming back to MFP (today!) after gaining back most of what I lost :/ I hope we'll all inspire each other.
