  • How much is the Weight Watchers scale?
  • I took my waist measurements and they are really the same. All of my pants are still tight, too. 2 years ago I weighed 105 pounds and before that, I was 120. I basically 'accidentally' lost the 15 pounds due to extreme stress during that time of my life. I thought if I could do it accidentally, I could surely do it again…
  • I agree. Buy some orthotic inserts for your shoes, they have helped me a lot. I still get heal pain, but it's not anything I can't work through now. And if your ankles still hrut, see a foot doctor and get fitted for custom ones.
  • Thanks! I am still new to the Indian food and it looks like the only dish I was comfortable eating so far is a not-so-healthy one... I think I will budget the calories for it and drink lots of water. Also, I will see if they have the saag. And is tandoori chicken blackened? They had a chicken breast that came out with our…
  • The above is right, your body isn't willing to lose the weight - I have a similar height/weight ratio to you, and I struggle to lose even a few pounds because I am, frankly, a healthy weight. I just want to shed the excess trouble spot fat. What worked for me is cutting out all the processed foods and keeping my diet close…
  • Some salads can be very, very fattening - even thought it seems healthy. For example, the 'Caribbean Salad w/ Grilled Chicken' at Chile's has 610 calories, 25 grams of fat, and 14 grams of saturated fat. To me, for a salad, that's outrageous. No salad I've ever made consisting of lettuce and grilled chicken ever contained…
  • The BMI thing and weight to height math confuses me so much... I weigh 127 right now and I used to weigh 105... Right now, naked, I look like I carry a noticeable amount of extra fat on my hips, thighs, butt... I am 5'3 and I feel like you look skinnier than me at 122.6 pounds than I ever did at 105, and you are even a…
  • I tried the chewing a piece of gum trick and it seemed to help some. It was a super strong, minty flavor and I could feel the mint in my esophagus, down to my stomach, so I think that helped calm everything down. Also, I am pretty sure I do not have reflux. I sometimes get reflux from eating super fatty foods, but the…
  • That's true, too, I didn't even think about metabolism stablization as being a factor. And to the person who suggested chewing gum.. I might try that! It could trick me into thinking I'm eating, maybe.
  • I think you are probably right. I drank a TON of water today - way more than usual - and I still feel the strange hunger sensation even though my stomach is bloated with dinner and water. I can definately see this as being a fat/sugar withdrawel symptom, since I typically only experience it when I cut out the garbage and…
  • I am hungry all the time, too. I make sure to drink plenty of water and eat lots of high fiber vegatables. Also, I always found myself craving more food shortly after eating '100 calorie packs,' meal-replacement bars, or protein shakes; eating real, wholesome, nutrient-balanced real food (while controlling your portions)…
  • Bolthouse Farms makes a Caesar Parmigiano dressing. It is yogurt-based and has 80 calories and only 6.5 grams of fat. Link to the Bolthouse web site details: http://bolthouse.com/our-products/dressings/yogurt-dressings/caesar-parmigiano/detail
  • I totally agree. I used to eat a lot of fast food (Starbucks frappucino every day, Subway sandwich eevry day, etc.)... Now I pack a lunch. Packing a lunch can be the single-best change you can make for yourself. It takes some effort because you need to plan the meal in order to get the right nutrient balance, but it's…

  • This is higher calorie snack, but good for before exercise or something: A banana with almond butter spread on it, rolled in some crushed Kashi cereal. It's sweet and delicious and has a nice balance of soft and crunchy.
  • It also contains erythritol and sorbitol as sweeteners as well. Stevia is fine, but the other are what get me.
  • You can increase your water intake from any water-based beverage you drink - but diaretics like alcohol and caffeine will only dehydrate you, so stay away from alcoholic beverages, coffee, soda, etc. BUT... Vitamin Water Zero and other 'zero calorie' water drinks contain sucralose and other sugar substitues. I stay away…
  • I completely agree with you on this. I have had the same experience with the sweets and I typically feel less hungry when I keep my sugars low and natural (i.e. in fruit), too.
  • At least you know your body is flushing out toxins when you pee, though! :)
  • I get hungry all the time, too. I find it helpful to eat nutrient-balanced REAL food instead of '100 calorie pack' snack food portions, protein waters/shakes, meal-replacement bars, etc. There isn't a lot of volume to these foods, so even if I consume enough calories and get a good balance of nutrients from them, I am left…
  • My only recommendation is to make sure you are getting the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat that make up your 1,300 calories. Sometimes it can be hard to get everything from your diet if you don't consume a lot of raw fruits and veggies, and it can be harder if your calories are more…
