A great lentil side dish is to Cook either green or black lentils until done but still holds shape. Mix with a Little finely chopped red onion, lots of chopped fresh dill, salt, pepper and a tiny bit of olive oil and balsamic (or other) vinegar. A hit at potlucks!

Hej! Jag är också från Stockholm! Det brukar gå att hitta ekologiska vindruvor utan problem. Seedless works great as well, if you would buy them :)

Well there are loads of stuff you can do with fruits. What about fruits dipped in dark chocolate? Or fruits in the oven with a Little bit of grated White chocolate on top? You could also make sort of a fruit pie with frech fruits and sprinkle chopped up nuts, seeds and stuff on top like Crunch... Or top it with a mix of…

Haha, yes, it probably is over there. Becuase it doesn't work the same over there as it does here. Which is why I wrote that it probably won't help at all. Just thought it could be a good idea to share how it would be handled in another system. sorry if confusing.

I am a social worker and I work doing family assessments and helping children and families in need. And the things you describe are very common signs of neglect and/or poverty. They doesn't have to be, but they can be. I also didn't get how old the kid is, so it depends on that. I work in sweden, so I understand that the…

Didn't read all replies so someone might have said this already. I don't have kids, but I am a social worker so I meet a lot of them and are in contact with a loot of schools and preschools. Usually, if it's someones birthday the parents are not allowed to send stuff. Sometimes the school will provide something tasty, like…

Well as for starter both soups and salads are nice and can easily be made with lower calories. For mail, I don't know what you like but I would put my effort there. For dessert, make something fruit based, it keeps the calories down while satisfying your sweet tooth. Here is a recipe I've done a few times (before counting,…

Thank you!! I am very excited to start lifting and see myself getting stronger! I am pretty sure that the one I used for bench press was smaller, but not sure. The people in the reception are not the ones working in the gym, so I should have been able to find a gym worker but didn't see anyone. Anyways, I had a meeting in…

Bumping for later, I want to start lifting but have no idea what to do. This thread seams full of great tips! Thanks op!

Thanks for your replys! Yes I am a member of a gym, but they don't have a crossfit class. I do sometimes go to a circuit training class sometimes. I hate just going to the gym, I need people around me to motivate me so that is why I am looking for classes to get me going. I think what sounds the best is to try and find…

Hey I feel you. I have a similar experience, and it's gotten better even though it is still pretty bad. Right now I am trying this thing where whenever I feel this urge to binge come over me I try to stop in my tracks and take in the feeling for at bit. What makes me feel this way? Am I tired, bored, lonely, sad, angry?…

I tend to trust my senses more than what the label say. Does it smell, look and taste ok? Alright, I'll have it! And yes, that means I constantly keep things longer than the label says.

Add some liquid and turn it into tomato soup? Great with some feta cheese, bread, some beans or lentils added for example. :)

I had an idea of trying this a few years back. Eating at maintenance at goal weight, there will still be a built in deficit. I never tried it long enough to see if it worked tho. I can imagine that, depending on what your maintenance is now, the deficit might be very small and it would be a VERY slow process to loose this…

Okra. Bleurg! Also not a big fan of quinoa...

I don't know what your restrictions are but here are some that I make for my lunches: Pasta with tomatosauce, easily prepared the night before. Put in whatever beans/lentils/veggies you like. Fry up a bag of frozen broccoli, add some creme fraiche and indian spice and mush together, goes good with rice. Any sort of salad…
