Nothing worthwhile, happens overnight. The longer journeys are the memories that last a lifetime!! Good luck on your journey.

In my journey, I stalled a couple of times. As the postings above stated, weight loss is not linear. Continue to measure your intake, measure our exercise burn, and the weight will come off. There is nothing magic about it. Best of luck to you.

Congratulations to you as you begin your journey. I wish you best wishes and much success.

Great effort! My congratulations to you!!

Absolutely agree above. Don't deprive yourself; however, use portion control. There is no 'black magic" with controling weight. Calories in > calories out: Gain weight. Calories in < calories out: Lose weight. Good luck to you!

Great protein and they taste pretty good! I have them for bike rides and in between meal time (if needed). Coconut chocolate chip is my personal favorite.

I am eating real food and have lost 50+ lbs in 54 weeks. This really works, as long as you record your food, exercise appropriately, and stay inside your calorie count. Good luck!

50 lbs in four months is rather aggressive. Slow but steady progress works in the long run. One pound a week is relatively easy to do. I recommend starting with a pound per week and modifying it to a more aggressive approach. I'm down 50 lbs and I've been on MFP for 54 weeks. I've got another 25 to go. Slow and steady!

Hello! I am Doug. 47 lbs gone, 30 to go!
-
Hello Anita! Welcome to MFP!

30 lbs by 31 May is my goal. I'm at a plateau right now--at 48 lbs gone.

US Marine Corps, 1979-1999. I put on 5 lbs every year since retirement, and it stopped this year. On my way back to my Marine Corps "fighting weight" of 150 lbs. Thirty lbs to go. We are folks who can do ANYTHING with the right mindset. Never stop! Keep moving forward!! I know everyone has heard that before.

Congratulations on your good report! Keep on track!! My doctor told me that at my age (57), I should not worry about weight, but body fat was key. My body fat should be held at 21%, which matches my goal of 150 lbs.
-
I'm 5'7" and now at 180 lbs. Many friends recommend that I stop now, but I want to lose another 30 lbs. I went to the doctor, and he told me that weight was not as important as body fat. At my age, he said I should be at 21% body fat, and my goal of 150 lbs was perfect!

Congratulations to you!! Great job!!
