330, and even though there have been times where I haven't consistently logged, I've found that taking a moment every day to open the app helps keep me accountable for my food choices. It's a sort of "WWMFPD?" (What Would My Fitness Pal Do?) thing for me. =)

Twice. For the first, I left the gym and had my breakdown in my car after chickening out in the weight room. (However, I blame that episode on the snotty clerk at the check-in desk. I had asked her about an employment position that I heard was available, and she was rather rude in her reply. I was in a foul mood when I…

I get irked when I'm the only person using one of the dozen ellipticals and someone gets on the machine right beside me. If it was the last available machine, then I'd understand, but otherwise... >.<

I have a small handful of acqaintances on MFP, but they're not a factor in my results. I'm here to use the diary and food database functions moreso than to socialize. :) For some people, though, having a support group is an important factor in their success or lack thereof.

OP, please do not bring an animal into your current living/traveling situation. Doing so would be cruel, for reasons already mentioned. I doubt the dog would remain "cute" if left alone for hours upon hours week after week. Ultimately, the dog needs more than you can feasibly provide at this time. Do the right thing by…

Considering that the original post is over three years old and the OP has deactivated her account, I doubt you're going to receive an answer to your query.

I've only skimmed through, so pardon me if this has already been mentioned: muscadine jelly. I'm sure it can be bought somewhere, but my mom's homemade (canned) muscadine jelly is the best for PB&Js! =D

My goal weight is 130, but I'm going to strive for 125 since that's the lower end of my healthy range. I was happy at 140, though, so I'll reassess things when I get to that weight! =) Height: 5'6" SW: 174 lbs. CW: 162 lbs. GW: 130 lbs.

5'6" SW: 174 lbs. CW: 164 lbs. GW: 130 lbs. I have my daily calories set to 1511, which is my TDEE (no exercise) minus 20%. I've been consistent for 60+ days, and I exercise five to seven hours per week. I've also lost two inches from my waist in addition to the ten pounds. =)

Brush your teeth! I've found that eating my evening meal and then brushing/flossing/Listerine-ing keeps me from undoing that minty fresh goodness. =)
-
I've invested in both, but I picked the food scale first. The HRM took a bit longer to research, whereas scales are fairly straightforward.

Skinnytaste is my #1 favorite site, but I've found a couple neat recipes for various things at: gluten-free-vegan-girl.com and onceamonthmeals.com

I count mine as water and just log the CL packet in the appropriate spot. I occasionally use the "energy" CL, and I count it as a packet + water as well. Oddly enough, though, I don't count my Sparkling Ice drinks as water! =)

I'm VERY interested in this approach versus weights. Tagged for later reading!

There are at least a half-dozen shops in my Alabama neck of the woods where I can enjoy a Reuben. I don't think they're all that uncommon anymore! =) Of course, the best one I've ever had was at a locally owned pub in NW Pennsylvania. The Yanks definitely have the advantage when it comes to Reubens! =D I'll be trying this…

Awesome job! I saw Spirit of Atlanta perform not too long ago when a competition was held in my Alabama town. Y'all didn't win, sadly, but y'all did play a good show and an encore for us! =)

I bought a Homedics digital scale from Bed, Bath, and Beyond for ~$30. I've only had it a short time, and it's the first one I've ever used, but it seems to do its job quite well. It's also very lightweight, which is handy for when I move it to all the random places in the kitchen to weigh my food. As for features... a…

I had someone come up to me and compliment me after I killed it in Zumba Step class earlier today! I was silly happy and felt awesome. =) Great job on your NSVs!

Step was my first group exercise, and I have a special place in my heart for step. Right now I'm taking a Zumba Step class in addition to everything else I do, and it's the class to which I most look forward every week. A step class will make the sweat pour and the calories burn!

"I've been religious with my diet. I haven't logged the calories but I've counted in my head and know I haven't gone over the 1200." You wanted advice, so here is something others have said and others will continue to say: start logging and quit guesstimating. Invest in a food scale and prepare to have your mind blown by…

New Balance. I've used that brand for almost eight years now, and I love it!

Feel free to add me! =) I'm married to a wonderful, supportive husband, and our "child" is a five year old calico named Rain Cat (aka Fatty, even though she's not fat. My husband started calling her that name when she was still a kitten!) I'd like to have a few more friends on MFP as well!

I'm not sure if I can limit my list, but I'll name a few things that irk me. - drivers who pull out in front and make no effort to accelerate to the speed limit, so instead I have to slow way down or rear-end them. - misuses of "who" and "that." - misuses of "eager" and "anxious." - people who look at their phones during a…

I never said that it "wasn't" possible; I said that sometimes it isn't "immediately" possible. There is a difference. Some folks, myself included, need longer to overcome the mental fears and barriers, and that's quite fine. Everyone advances at his/her own pace, and I'm not going to let my trepidation of the weight room…

I had a similar experience, so you're not alone! I did my research, downloaded the SL 5x5 app, and went to the weight room one day. I felt confident during my drive to the gym. I had watched videos of proper form and had even practiced proper form. And then when I walked into the room, and there were a dozen guys grunting…

OP, you may want to review your recent post. It seems very similar in nature, and some of the insight offered on it may help you. =) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1398237-getting-periods-back-to-be-weight-restored-what-about-guys

I lol'd!

I'm having the same problem, OP. I'm using the TDEE method as well, and I'm confused about what calorie goal to include on MFP. Ultimately, I just picked the "Sedentary" option numbers even though I exercise an hour a day five times a week. It seemed like the most logical choice since it was above my BMR.
