I suffered a pretty big setback a few months ago when I injured my knee and tore my meniscus and ACL. I took about 6 weeks off from tracking while dealing with surgery, recovery, and depression. In the past I would have eaten my feelings but seeing how far I've come I just couldn't do that to myself this time. I kept up…

Lunch part I was half a package of frozen spinach, thawed and mixed with 2 hardboiled eggs, red onion, salsa, and hot sauce. Lunch part II will be chicken taco salad: roast chicken breast, salsa, shredded spinach, red onion, red pepper, cucumber, corn, tomatoes, carrots, pickled jalapenos, hot sauce, and tortilla chips…

Sadly I live hundreds of kilometers from the nearest Chipotle or Panera so it's usually a small Wendy's chilli for me. I take it home and dump it on a salad. Before I gave up dairy I'd usually get a small chocolate Frosty too :)

I actually got a phone call from Costco about the bag I'd bought months ago, that was a first!

Lately I've been having the same breakfast most days, peanut butter and jam oatmeal. About 32g dry oats, 10g wheat bran, 10g cocoa powder, cinnamon, water, 12g PB2, 70g egg whites, and when it's cooked I add 12g peanut butter and 30g low-sugar-high-fruit raspberry jam. About 400 calories but one of the few breakfasts I've…

I've tried Vega vanilla and hated it. Right now I use the chocolate Vega but I have a process. I mix a scoop with 2 tsp cocoa powder, a splash of vanilla extract, and a cup of coconut milk. I use a knife to break up clumps stuck to the sides and then shake for a good 5-10 minutes. The result has a few lumps here and there…

I'm also having issues. Yesterday the number fluctuated wildly (I've been using MFP paired with Fitbit for over a year now and it only behaves like this unless the system is glitching out) and today MFP just isn't adding in any exercise calories from Fitbit at all. I've done the usual troubleshooting to no avail. However,…

I'm also having issues. Yesterday my numbers were up and down all day with no steps recorded and today it's just not showing any steps or exercise burn at all. I've tried reconnecting and no good :/ MFP is still sending my food info to Fitbit so I'm going by the calories there today.

Tonight it's shredded spinach, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, salsa, pickled jalapenos, steak, and hot sauce. I'd also add guacamole and yogurt if I had them but sadly I do not.

It's just me and the kids tonight so they're having cheese quesadillas and I'm having the last bit of leftover steak in a gigantic steak taco salad with microwaved tortilla chips. I marinated the steaks in some worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, soy sauce, thyme, and garlic and grilled them, and this is the method I use…

I never thought I'd seriously injure myself playing my favorite sport, Ultimate Frisbee. It's just running around after a disc, right?! Joke's on me, one knee surgery down, one to go :p One a more positive note, I never thought I'd be this small! At 129 I've gone past my initial goal of 130 and although I still have some…

I'm a mom of 2 and just had my 1-year MFP anniversary, 33lbs down and about 9 to go! Feel free to add me :)

Protein shake? Smoothie? Make some muffins that adhere to your dietary restrictions? Fruit? Stir fry? Personally I'd just go with leftovers :p

I have never heard of vegetarian tuna in a can, I can only imagine D: My things are liver (was trying to up iron intake) and vanilla Vega protein powder. I got a tub of the latter because it was on cheap at Costco and I'm going to finish it because I don't want to waste it, but when I drink it by itself I refer to it as…

I like this recipe, I ended up adding half the amount of salt but could have gone with even less. I don't know how long it'll keep in the fridge but I froze my leftovers in individual portions and thawed as needed. http://www.budgetbytes.com/2011/08/not-refried-beans/

I have a Flex but I keep it in my pocket because it wasn't tracking well on my wrist. Maybe I move my arms weird but when I was running it would miss half of my steps, and was iffy when pushing the stroller. Had I known that would be the case I would have just gotten the Zip. I've had it for a couple of years now and the…

Vast quantities of salad have actually been a big help for me since they give me the volume I want without a huge number of calories. I mostly eat the same stuff I used to but either on or with a huge salad. Growing up I hated salad but I love them now that I've figured out how to prepare them so that I actually enjoy them!

Hi! Back in January I tore my meniscus and ACL. I've had surgery for the meniscus but still waiting for the ACL reconstruction surgery. I was so miserable until I was able to start doing some movement again with physio so I definitely understand where you're coming from! Honestly, I took a month or so off from logging…

Fresh strawberries. I can't wait for strawberry season!

Lots of great suggestions already, so I'll add that I play a video game that requires two hands. Lately my game of choice has been Stardew Valley, where I grow virtual food and seduce potential mates with my home-made pickled parsnips.

I've been making something like this lately, it's really tasty! https://dashingdish.com/recipe/1-minute-cookie-dough-greek-yogurt/

I was never complimented when I was overweight and running on a treadmill at the gym (perhaps I was doing it wrong), but I did occasionally get dudebros who'd pick the treadmill next to mine (despite many others being free) and try to... outrun me? On a treadmill? It was good for a laugh, in any case!

I lost fat from my armpits, of all places, and now there's a dip in there that makes shaving so tricky!

This is what's been doing the trick for me! Also not arbitrarily eliminating or demonizing foods.
-
Is it the flavour or the texture that's getting you? If the former I'd probably mix it with some tomato sauce and more spices, if the latter I'd reheat it with some chicken stock to moisten it up.

To build on this I learned it's super easy and cheap to make 'refried' beans in the slow cooker. I made a huge batch, froze them in single-serving portions using silicone muffin cups, and then would pull one out of the freezer and heat it up as needed. This is the recipe I use:…

I'm not remotely ready because my bikini bottoms are too baggy in the butt and I haven't had time for swimsuit shopping yet. Looking forward to sharing my stretch marks and floppy extra stomach skin with the world, though!

I was with WW about 10 years ago and it's definitely geared towards keeping you a customer for life. I had no idea how to eat without converting foods into points and using their calculators and stuff. If only MFP had been a thing back then!

I definitely had to work my way up to 90%, starting with 70%, then 85%, and now the 90% is my favorite by far!
