  • Those recipes are my own, and were entered using the bar codes on the packaging and going by those serving sizes. I'll start weighing all ingredients to see if that makes any differences. Thanks for your input.
  • Normally after the 45 session it records that I've burned around 450 calories. Sometimes it's a little less, but never more. And according to the fitbit, on weight days I only burn about 200 calories total, which normally get eaten back.
  • Figured it out. Should be now. I try to log all meals, but am not always successful.
  • how do i open it then?
  • On T/Th I do elliptical for 40 minutes on the random setting at level 13, with a 5 minute cool down. See my previous reply for the other info.
  • I'm 5'1, 166. I believe my journal is open. I log absolutely everything except for my fitness as I use my fitbit as I trust the calories burned regarding my heart rate more than a machine. I feel like I should be losing, which is why I've come here to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. I've been logging consistently…
  • I actually just posted a thread in the exercise and fitness topic about something similar. I use pinterest and did a search on beginning strength training exercises and found one in particular that I really liked. I definitely come out feeling that "deadness" in my arms and legs once I'm finished. I posted because I…
  • Use your own body weight. There are plenty of exercise programs out there that require you to use your own body weight to strengthen your core especially, which will help you tone up in general.
  • If you want to tone up, you're going to need to build muscle, which is most likely going to make you gain weight. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. You're going to be looking better and feeling better. I don't know how into cross training you are, but that is a GREAT muscle builder, and all out fitness regimen.
  • I'm on a 1200 calorie plan to lose about 2 lbs a week. I exercise 4-5 times a week and also have an open diary. I make a lot of my own food though so I don't know how helpful my diary will be but feel free to add if you like.
  • If you work out outdoors, I suggest using mapmyfitness. I find the calories burned are more accurate than mfp, and you can link them so your workouts are automatically entered for you.
  • I was always one of those that hated the idea of counting calories. Part of the problem was that I am a lover of home cooked meals, but never knew how to add up the correct amount of calories per portion. That's what I really like about MFP. Just enter the recipe in and the number of people you're feeding and bam! it's all…
  • My boyfriend and I are loving the snow in Colorado this season!! We try to shoe twice a month, and have some major 14'er plans for the summer. However, that is not our main form of exercise. Just hoping to get in better shape to go farther and longer and really do some good exploring.
  • I am another who doesn't even own yoga pants.. but I've got plenty of sweats. I won't go to the gym if there are other people in it because I'm too embarrassed. (Thankfully the gym at my apartment complex is rarely in use). When I'm feeling overly fat I suck in as far as possible and use my hands to push down the fat to…
