  • I really struggled with this when I went on a primal diet / lifestyle. I went cold turkey on pop, but found myself drinking a lot more coffee. Try bulletproof coffee or if that's too much, try a large coffee with some heavy whipping cream! (YUMM!!)
  • There are a lot of Aug 25's out there! Happy Birthday to yall! Mine was the 24th. Any August 24 people out there? :)
  • Good luck to everyone! I'm out! Yesterday was my birthday (non-primal mistakes abound) and I am addicted to logging (Whole 30 opps, I logged it again).... Maybe after my wedding in October I'll actually be able to do an honest whole 30
  • If you check on a regular basis and would like that data to automatically go to your computer, I recommend the Fitbit scale! It's awesome and wirelessly connects to your network! :)
  • I agree! I would take the fresh fruit! I supose it doesn't travel well, but I pass up the candy / cookie bits and find an apple in the cafeteria.
  • What you eat is as important as what you don't. If you feel you are stuck; try to experiment with your habits. I highly recommend reading "The Primal Blueprint" by Mark Sisson. Even if you don't decide to follow a primal diet, there is some very good information in there about conventional wisdom of food and exercise.
  • I have tried and failed with the bacon wrapper...How did you get the bacon to stay on? (How much did you use?)
  • On my primal camping trips, I like to make sure I have plenty of beef jerky with me. I like to make my own so I know what's in it and how it was prepared!
  • Good job Skwidlund! I sometimes struggle what to tell my friends and this puts it best. Although I am from Michigan, I am living in Mexico, land of the tortilla....Being such a staple, I often have a hard time trying to translate to people why I can't eat them.
  • I am thinking some of those things should have included recipes! Sounds great and primal! (Maybe with the exception of the pie!) Let us know how you do! (I would be interesting in the deviled eggs receipe if you have it!)

  • I was on the ww program in 2008 and it worked for 9 months. After my birthday that year....well, i fell off the train. MFP is better in my opinion because it has better tools, and of course is free. Although free isn't the reason I stick around. I like MFP because it has a good community with something for everyone and…
  • Hey Primal pals!! Feel free to add me too! :)
  • I agree. I recently switched and I'm feeling pretty optimistic.
  • I've been living out of a hotel for a while and since going primal wanted to benchmark, so I took a tape measure (the fabric type) and measured the key areas... I was thinking this would not show fat% as well as the pinch test or the scale type, but at least a start.... Thoughts?
