  • I'm on Android and for the last 8 years if I turned my phone sideways while in diary, I would see a macro breakdown by item and meal. This feature was essential for planning out my food for the day. Where did it go?? Yes, I can see a percentage value, but seeing a percentage and trying to adjust it randomly to meet daily…
  • This is exactly what I came here to ask!! Any solution? I've been using this app for 8 years, and if that feature is gone I'll have to find another app to use.
  • You may want to check your numbers. Looking at your weight and height your protein and fat seems low and your carbs seem high. Try .8g per pound for protein and .35g per pound for fat. Then the rest is carbs. :)
  • Regular body weight or lean mass? If i do it with my regular weight I get 43% fat, 39% protein and 18% carbs (74 g) that seems really low on carbs?
  • I honestly don't even know how I came up with those numbers anymore, lol. When I started here, I read and read and followed some suggestions on some posts. I'd love to be able to eat more carbs, it sure would be easier. part of me too is afraid to change what is working though, you know?
  • Well so far today I haven't had the starving pit feeling - but I was almost a pound heavier than I was yesterday. I made it down to 195.2, then the hunger hit and I've creeped up to almost 197 again. Maybe it is related.
  • I weigh everything, unless I am out at someone's house, etc. It may look like I use cup measures, but I weigh and then use my calculator to figure out the percentage of the serving. Ie. .57 of a 55g serving because I measured 30g. (I didn't actually calculate that right now, just an example, lol) OR, I weigh exactly to the…
  • It's not that I fear calories or carbs, but I do need to try to stay within my daily limits. Bread, pasta, etc, don't help me keep under my carb macro. They also aren't a fave food of mine. I am more likely to spend 160 calories on a muffin, than on bread - because then I at least feel I am giving myself a treat.
  • I did wonder about the increase in carbs. While I was still eating sugar, this week I added back in some higher carb foods, like I had a sandwich even though I haven't been eating bread. I ate it because I had enough calories to do so. I also had some wild rice this week, and beans too. Maybe it was too many carbs.
  • Meal prep (besides my lunch to take to work) ahead of them doesn't always work for me. I take my lunch to work, but by the time I get home my husband has already cooked for the family, and I try to make that work. Like today he made spaghetti and meat sauce. I can't eat the spaghetti (too high in calls/carbs) so I mixed…
  • The banana muffins were my treat for the day. (And today only, I've successfully ignored them in the house for 3 days now lol) I should have only had one, but I was still hungry at supper and it was a quick thing to grab. They are not the worst they could be - they are at least homemade.
  • Well end of the day, I've eaten all but 70 of my calories and I think this is my worst day yet for hunger. My stomach is growling so loudly I think my neighbours can hear! Lol! In my pre-diet life I would have made a sandwich or something, I wouldn't be able to sleep like this. Just going to suck it up and hope for better…
  • I weigh in daily and then put my weights into a weight tracker that averages them out. I like seeing how those daily up and downs add up to an overall loss. I find that I don't get stressed over seeing a higher number one or two days on the scale, because I know the overall trend is down!
  • That is awesome! I hope I can get to that point someday! LOL
  • Thanks for the positive replies everyone! For those who are hoping to get to that ONEderland - keep on going and you will get there too!
  • I've wondered about people's thoughts on this myself. I tend to eat more during the evening hours, because that is when I have time, lol. Also, I find I tend to "hoard" calories during the day, in case I need them later - then I have to eat them all in the evening. I have been losing weight steadily, so it isn't stopping…
  • I try to eat back half of my exercise calories. My log is an accurate reflection of my exercise, lol, I don't do it very often. The thing is, I was eating at a deficit before, and I felt satisfied. It is just this past week or so that I can't seem to quench the hunger.
  • I am leaving calories for a few reasons. One, I like to leave around 100 to cover the times when I can't weigh my food accurately, like if there is a function at work. Two, I feel it covers any "extras" that I may incur during the day - like tasting any meals I am making for my family as they are cooking, etc. Three, I…
  • black coffee
  • For the last two weeks, I have gone once a week to an aqua fitness class. It is a change, but I don't think that one 60 minute class a week would make that much of a difference? If I had been exercising more, then yes, I could chalk it up to that! LOL
  • If you are referring to me, I hardly call two servings of cheese "loading my day" and ONE cookie is not ridiculous. Never once did I wonder why I wasn't losing weight, in fact I said I was quite happy with my loss and specifically said I was not complaining about that at all. As for never working out, did you ever think…
  • So your solution to me hating my diet, is to restrict my food choice further and deny myself appropriate portions of foods I enjoy? If you read my diary, you should have seen my food note. I ate "supper' at 3pm yesterday because I did not have anything but a smoothie at lunch time. Then I ate my "snack" at 6pm - when…
  • I get what you are saying, and I do practice moderation. Like tonight, I had one cookie. In the past I would have had 2-3 cookies and I guess some days in my mind that is still abstaining and exclusion because I am not eating until I am satisfied with that food, you know what I mean?
  • I'm eating the amount I am supposed to eat. The number is pretty much the same here, or on other sites like IIFYM. Foods, maybe I am not making good enough choices? Right now I feel like I should not be hungry. Breakfast I had a protein shake and oatmeal. Lunch was a smoothie. Then at 3pm I ate a good sized serving of…
  • Is it not the same? I mean, I am eating many similar things to before - but now I pay attention to portion sizes and weigh and measure everything. Unfortunately for some foods, an appropriate portion size is 0.
  • Some days that helps me a lot too, but others it makes me feel worse as in "there is no end in sight." LOL
