However I do fit in a run, a cycle, 2 kettlebell sessions , yoga and Pilates each week, after seeing you progress I think I could be…

This is good on portion sizes. Everyone in our family eats the same, tiny to old. All meals fresh cooked, no package d sauces (but I also work ft so they have be quick) on weekends we eat like takeaway but home cooked. Like last night sweet and sour chicken and rice.

I totally agree, scale messes with my head so I track food and exercise closely and I know what my tdee is so I rationalise and figure in my head what my max/Mon loss/gain should be each week. And at the start of my recent push I weighed in after 45 days, by that time whatever is lost was big so it felt good. At the moment…

I tend to gain 8lbs eating what I like for two weeks. If I stick to a plan I can lose it in 40 days

Naked bacon's don't have any nitrates. You can also buy things like Parma ham which are preserved only with salt
-
The nitrates in some hams and bacon are carcinogenic. But there are brands that don't use nitrates to preserve, such as naked bacon

I'm no expert but I've read or seen on TV that when you lose weight your body tries to return to a 'set point' so it's a continuous battle to stay at the lower weight. But for on personal experience, I have similar stats to you, I think it eases after 6 months to a year and a lower weight becomes your 'set point'- now if I…

My maintanence is about 2000. I eat 2500 on Saturday and Sunday then 1000 on Monday and 1500 Tues to Fri. I consistently lose 1lb per week doing this and it keeps me from giving up or binging. It's all about your numbers and what works for you

It will be ok! I've monitored my Christmas calroue gain for a few years and found that in 14 days if eating whatever i like and I mean 4/5000 calroies sometimes, I can only gain 8 real pounds, then I spend Jan and Feb losing it again, I see it as worth it. In a couple of days you can't gain that much and it's easier to…
