  • 400 calories for the DAY? I just made a protein drink with more calories than that. You don't need to think of it as, "How many calories can I live off of". You NEED calories to SURVIVE. Killing yourself is not going to make the weight shed faster. How are you going to workout if you're so weak? You won't be able to.…
  • I have the same anxiety with the weight room. Only thing is.. I know people are looking at me. Only because I'm actually lifting and not flying through my workout like everyone else. Not being mean.. But I guess the best thing we need to do is just get over it. :(
  • I eat something I call a "protein bowl". It is cottage cheese, tuna, dark red kidney beans, and avocado all mixed together in a bowl. It sounds really weird.. but it is soooo good :). You can substitute the tuna for any meat really.. I've used turkey and chicken breast too. I've also put sauteed onions, mushrooms, garlic…
  • No thanks bob. I'm not eating 5 oz of mushrooms and only 70g of protein. I think I will stick to having meat in my diet.
  • If you have calories, eat something filling. If not.. Well, don't eat.
  • Before I started my two week break I was 256lbs. After my two week break I was 261lbs. After 2 workouts, I dropped back to 256. The point of this story : If you were eating at maintenance and not exercising, the answer is water weight. It's nothing to worry about and once you start eating at your maintenance calories, it…
  • I'd recommend upping your protein higher than 40g per day. Try setting your macros to 45% carbs 25% protein 30% fat. Carbs are not always the bad guy, just like sodium is not always the bad guy. If you're getting enough potassium in your diet, I wouldn't even worry about sodium. Also, if you haven't started, I would start…
  • Being mean back to someone most of the time, doesn't work.. It just keeps em going. Now if you start throwing even half factual things at them and they are just being mean, they generally stop because they don't know what they're talking about. Or even a "I'm losing weight at my own, comfortable pace and it IS working.…
  • Stretch marks aren't disgusting. Pretty sure most people don't go "oh man, look at that person they have stretch marks, gross!" Especially people who have the "left over stretch marks" and they're fit. Just means you seen you had a problem and FIXED IT. Don't worry about it.
  • I'm no where near my goal weight.. But one thing I totally miss is eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. 5 chili dogs for dinner loaded with cheese, 2 vanilla cokes and Ruffles... Man. /sniff
  • Like EselleMN said, unless you're getting sick or bloated, don't worry about it.
  • I eat when I'm hungry.
  • I'm losing a little bit all over.. But something really weird is that I'm losing near my collar bone and shoulder area A LOT. I've had to re adjust a bra like 4 different times since January. Crahzy and satisfying..
  • For one hunny, if you're doing it with someone that makes you feel self conscious about yourself, there's a problem. To all of the ladies out there that are self conscious about that part of their life, DONT BE. Just please stop it. If your man loves you and actually wants to love you don't let something so foolish hold…
  • I really don't know why it bothers me.. but I HATE IT when people told me "i can see you're losing weight! you can really tell in your face!" and that was when I hadn't even lost 5 lbs yet. They just knew I was working out because I posted it on FB. I know they're trying to be nice, but it erks me so hardcore.
  • How do you expect your body to do anything only eating that many calories? You'll lose weight sure.. But you'll end up being light headed and get sick from it. You can't drive across the country when your gas gauge is on E.
  • Yes it is a problem. Your organs will not be able to function properly and you will start getting very light headed. I know, because I have recently went through this. Is it because your stomach hurts when you try to eat, nothing sounds good, are you forgetting to eat? Because not being hungry is just not the answer... I…
  • If'ing is great if you have a low amount of calories and want more fulfilling meals. I generally don't eat breakfast, a small lunch, and a big dinner. I love being able to come home and just devour a big plate of food and stay within my calorie limits.
  • I weigh everyday and only record when I lose. I do that only because I know that my body fluctuates everyday, so unless I keep gaining, I know it's only the water weight. It's motivating to see the scale drop even .01 lbs every day or even stay the same. Do what you want and what keeps you going.
  • Are you weighing and logging everything you eat? Did you lose a significant amount of weight before this and now you're stuck? How long has the scale been at that point? Are your clothes fitting better? There are a lot of factors we need to know to even begin to help you. All I can say for now is, make sure you WEIGH…
  • How about instead of "jump starting" your "diet", why don't you make healthy LIFESTYLE changes? Losing weight isn't just about LOSING IT, it's about learning to make a new lift for yourself and learn to what you can stick to. I really don't think anyone wants to stick to "jump starting" anything for the rest of their life.
  • Thank you for the very nice comment :D I felt bad because I noticed that I was getting thinner.. but I did not REALLY notice until I took that picture. Not gloating, but I must have good genes because I'm losing it all from my thighs and belly area and not from my chest lol :P
  • Yea, I was surprised when I took that picture, that I did that in only 3 months. :D
  • It's as simple as calories in vs. calories out for most people. Get a food scale and weigh everything. There's a video on youtube and a person shows the difference between using "cups" or food vs weighing the item.. You could EASILY be eating an extra 100-500 calories a day.
  • I had the same thing happen to me. I ate over a little for a couple days (still below 1.9k) and for some reason I ended up staying the same exact weight for a week, then gaining 2.5 lbs and staying there the next week... Was totally confused because I was still weighing and logging EVERYTHING and eating below my TDEE but…
  • I'd try giving her chocolate milk maybe? It's suppose to be good for you, if you don't drink a ton of it. I don't know what I would give to a kid.. I haven't been blessed with any yet xD But that's what I'd try if you don't already. But like other people said, maybe she is just going to be petite and that's okay. There was…
  • Try eating more peanut butter, 2 tablespoons is over 200 calories.. and 2 tablespoons is barely enough for a sandwich. I'm guilty of making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with chocolate chip waffles  Peanut butter and nutella is also a good combo. Any kind of nuts. A handful of almonds is around 200 calories…
  • Yep.. You'll wanna measure everything out BEFORE you cook it. Just make sure you are using the correct logs for em.
  • I made this soup tonight and it was really frickin good. 2 chicken breasts ~ 16 oz all together 2 cups shredded cabbage 1 14.5 oz canned tomatoes with roasted garlic and onion 1 15.5 oz Dark red kidney beans 1 cup lentils 43.5 oz of water 2 chicken boullion cubes A couple dashes of onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and…
