  • I went to the doctor today and I have lost 25 pounds and I am now off of any blood pressure meds! I didn't think I could come off the medication this quickly... I am amazed and feeling really good about myself right now. I'm now at 210 and my next goal is to get below 200. Thanks to everyone here for your info and…
  • my afternoon snack is always fruit and yogourt. It even gives me enough energy to go to the gym right after work before dinner. I find the wee bit of protein in the yogourt really helps.
  • I feel so much better know it's not just me!!
  • I did not even know you could go backwards!! DUH!!!:embarassed:
  • I weigh weekly and measure monthly.... measuring monthly is awesome, because you can really see results that way. Sometimes if I've either been really bad or really good, I might weigh more often, because when it's a good result, it really motivates me. You just have to decide to carry on if it hasn't moved and looked…
  • Thank you so much! I thought it was just me!!!! I've now tried scrunching my toes (and after one embarrassing moment losing my balance - it seems to be helping) Thanks again.....
  • if you post your exercise and food, it will tell you how much you need to eat and be sure to set your goals reasonably. I don't think you ever want to go below 1200 calories no matter what...
  • I know where you are coming from and I found out I had two problems 1. not eating often enough (I know, I thought is was ridiculous too). If you just start to feel the pangs of hunger - eat! Just make it easy as you possibly can to make a good choice. Don't let it get to the point where you are so hungry you make a bad…
  • This caught my eye and was totally wicked. Loved it. Thank you so much.
  • Was out of town at a restaurant I wasn't familiar with and thought I'd made a fairly decent choice, but when I got back home and checked the restaurant menu on the internet, man did I blow it. It threw me so far over my calories for the day it wasn't even funny. I was caught off guard by that. So that led me to thinking…
  • La vache qui rit! It's a soft cheese that usually comes in a round container with little "pie" shaped or cube pieces. The only thing is it is not a true cheese, but a process cheese, kind of like Cheese Whiz. only lower cals. If you are okay with that though - Caution - addictive!
  • That is such a huge milestone!!! Way to go.... take some time to write down somewhere how you felt at that moment and the next time you plateau, or aren't feeling good about your progress, go back and re read that and remember how good it felt... don't put it in the past. Keep it with you.... I hope to meet you there soon…
  • Does anyone else find their feet go to sleep when using the elliptical? I can maybe make it for 20 minutes and then they go so numb they start to burn!!! I have to stop and walk it off and then start again... it really stinks because I want to keep my heart rate up and feel like I'm starting all over again when I get back…
  • I have two playlists that are quite large and put on shuffle so I get a variety. I have one called "Grunt" for doing cardio and the other called "Lift" for strength work. Grunt kicks it - Right now the Teddybears are on hard rotation.... awesome workout music also Wyclef's latest album. A bit of Fergie, Gwen Stefanie,…
  • Does anyone know if there is a website that will create workout schedules for you with varied strength training exercises? I have a limited repetoire and they are getting repetitive, but I don't really know many other choices?
  • You don't even need Wii fit... if you use Wii sports and do the boxing game... you can work up a sweat in no time. It's great for that.
  • Definitely the type of exercise you do has an impact. I do 20 minutes on the elliptical (but then my feet fall asleep and I have to get off and get the blood flowing again) on interval and that burns about 280 and then on the next 20 minutes I do a higher level and that burns at 320. I then do 300 steep steps on on the…
  • Hi everyone... I started making "changes" (I refuse to use the D word this time) at the beginning of February and things are going well....so far. I started out at 230 and I'm down to 214. I had previously done Weight Watchers and was doing a "modifed points" program just out of my head, but I sense I'm getting what I like…
