Interesting read! Sounds consistent with other research like others have mentioned. Personally I’ve been overweight my entire life and obviously the fat loss struggle is real. I’ve been within the same 15 pound range ever since I was about 12-13 (and same 5’2.5” height lol) and I’m now 32. Every time I lose 10 pounds, I…

I’ve been on MFP off/on for 8 years. 🤦🏻♀️ almost 32 years old now and in the US. I’ve been within the same 15 pound range since my teens, so 150-165, now near that upper limit and want to get to 140-145! My dumb@$$ gained the 10 pounds I worked hard to lose in a year in the last 4 months 😭. Everyone feel free to add me 🙂

I’ve been off and off for about 8 years 🤦🏻♀️ can’t seem to get past a certain point. Feel free to add me!

8/1: weight 153.5, stayed under calorie goal so far, so crushed goal #2! 😎 ate dinner past 9pm though just bc I wasn’t hungry until later. Lifted heavy yesterday so did a nice 30 minute walk today with my doggo.

Welcome back! The last few pounds SUCK but we can do it! 💪

Woohoo, I’m in! +3 chub rub!!

Just found this group today and could use some accountabilabuddies!! Lol. I’m currently 157lbs at 5’3” and would be ecstatic to be at 145. I’ve been trying to lose these 15 pounds for years and it’s so frustrating because I can’t stick to anything consistently. ☹️ hoping being more social and active on here will give me…

My goal is to look better and not feel embarrassed about my chub. I just want to have a healthy body fat percentage.

🙋🏻♀️ I’m in the same boat! Finally back at logging again consistently after a long break (though I’ve been sucking at staying at calorie goal)...looking for friends to add me as well since I can’t figure out how to add friends on my iPhone either. 🤦🏻♀️
-
I’d like more friends! 😄 been on/off MFP for like 8 years. Finally back at it more consistently again and hopefully for the last time!

Yes!! It sucks! Lol. Too many life events getting to me...!

5'2.5", 27 years old, started at my heaviest 175 about 4 years ago...lowest weight at 148 ~2 years ago but am currently at 165. Got an awful habit of yo-yoing up and down the same damn 20 pounds! I have to work soo hard to lose any weight!! But my goal is 135 or lower, hopefully before I turn 30. My downfall is FOOD (and…

I could use some!

I love my WeightGURU scale ($50 at Bed, Bath & Beyond--plus they always have coupons!) because it has an app you can sync on your phone! It tells you the typical weight, body fat %, muscle %, water %, and bone density %...but I just love that you press the sync button to scan into your phone. The app then graphs your…

My injury is "unique" in that I had the nerve damage from birth, so I've learned to live with it. I have no pain, just some weakness and a decreased range of motion about my shoulder (can't fully adduct or raise it above my head). I have to overcompensate with my good arm and try to do moves that involve both my arms on a…

I'd love to follow your story! =) I have a brachial plexus injury from birth, so I've been doing a lot of my own substitutions/variations/omissions as needed. I was doing really well for Stages 1-2, but looking forward, I feel like NROFL4W might not work so well with my injury, and I've been getting discouraged. =(

Congratulations!!! We have seemingly similar stats, and I'm *still* working on that milestone, so I can imagine how great it feels. Good job! =)

I really, really love food and eating. :drinker: oh and I was never encouraged to participate in sports or anything growing up, so I wasn't that active.
-
I understand what you're saying. For me personally, though, it helps me focus MORE on what I'm doing because it blocks out everything else around me... I used to be scared ****less going into the "men's territory" (free weight area) and would worry so much about other people judging me. Now, it's like they're not there. =)…

LOL, I'll have to try that!! Thanks!

Next question - any particular brand recommended (and like < $20 because I'm broke) that's not too super crappy?

Looks like I'll be trying an armband since I can't afford bluetooth headphones, lol...thanks guys!

Nuts!! Or avocados! They have healthier fats (mono/unsaturated, omega-3's) in them than sausage (saturated fats, omega-6's).
