Yeah, I think I'll start doing this with the switching thing. I know it's stupid but I'm just scared of not losing weight while I still involve starchy carbs in my diet, but I have to bite the bullet and find out! I feel it is going to take a long time for me to figure out a happy medium for me.

To be honest no, when I decide to "diet" (for lack of a better word), I tend to go hell for leather and eat a shed load of veggies, fruit, salad and not much else, although I do tend to throw a bit of chicken in the mix. In a sense it is also easy for me because I genuinely LOVE veggies so it is easy for me to have…

Hi, yes at the time I set the profile up I did have pcos, however for an unrelated reason 6 months ago I had an Ultrasound scan and I dont have it anymore. Plus my mensral cycle has been fine since initially losing the 2st. There may be something else to it but I'm not sure. I hope not!

I dont know exactly how many calories I ate before, im guessing easily up to 2500 (hence the quick weight gain). I have never drank soda anyway but I do still drink up to 10 mugs of tea every day with skimmed milk and the odd glass of water. That has not changed since ""dieting""

Well done :)

A bit of an update for those who may be interested... This weekend, I have slacked a bit on my "diet" as to try and find out the cause. I had a bit more carbs and a couple of sugary drinks on Friday and Saturday and by Sunday morning I was feeling A LOT better. My overall calories stayed the same so I am guessing it was my…

Ah that's true. I should do that.

Whenever I start "dieting" again, the first thing I do is massively increase my water, and for the first week the weight drops off. It will slow down if it is due to water consumption. It would be pretty hard to lose that much fat in that time but anythings possible. If it doesn't stop, talk to your doctor as I've heard…

Please please please seek help. There are non-alcoholic drinks which I imagine taste fairly similar (I'm a non drinker so I don't really know) but I do think the "need" for alcohol is cause for concern. There's plenty of help out there but you need to make the first step. :) Good Luck

Thank you :) nice to know there's light at the end of the tunnel

I am by no means a professional on weight loss, or I wouldn't be here BUT... I personally would say most people should take a daily multi-vitamin, as it is well proven that in a modern western diet, we are deficient. All of our cells need certain vitamins in order to function, so in order to get the best out of anything…

How much sugar would your wife recommend, going off what the endocrinologist said?

Last Monday so.... 12 days ago. And the lightheadedness started 4 days ago. I did both at the same time. The thing is, in my usual eating regime, it's quite bad really but I used to skip breakfast AND lunch (not through deliberately "starving" myself but I never got hungry!) and I would have a large tea. Usually something…

Thanks guys :) I'm hopeful now that it will slowly go away. Want to start going the Gym again!! Probably not the best idea at the moment though seeing as I can't walk down the stairs without having a dizzy fit at the bottom :/

I have 1 tsp sugar in my morning brew, 1/2 tsp in the second and none for the rest of the day. I eat a couple of pieces of fruit per day, usually 1 pear and a handful of strawberries. So, you might be right. The week before I started this I literally had 1tsp sugar in my brew and that was about 10 times+ a day, plus a…

I've not been exercising no, I was going to go to the gym this week at some point but this lightheadedness is putting me off. I'll probably end up fainting and rolling off the treadmill haha. I don't add any salt to my food at all, never have and tend not to eat salty foods. I should try adding a bit to my food? I've been…

I personally, cut out all gluten, quite strictly a few years ago after being diagnosed with PCOS. It was so hard as it is in virtually everything. I did it with the sole purpose of regaining regular periods (TMI sorry guys), which did happen BUT I also lost just under a stone in 2 months (approx) without changing anything,…

I may do this. At the end of the day, losing that extra pound a week is not worth feeling like this! I'm going to try and add a bit more unrefined carbs too to see is that helps.

Erm, well every other day I might have scrambled eggs for breakfast and yes I do have protein at dinner time, whether it be Chicken breast, Minced Beef, Turkey etc. I could incorporate more protein I suppose, with nuts of something to snack on. I've read that when you cut down on carbs, you lose a lot of potassium when…

Oh, also when I say salad I mean a pretty big salad, not just a side salad. If you see what I mean. :) A big plate full of lettuce, sweetcorn, beetroot, tomatoes, carrot etc etc.

I am 25 years old, 5ft3 and 195lbs (currently). My MFP Goal is 1200 but I usually only get to 1100 per day.

Yawn. You fail to see what she said first. Actually not even bothered if I am banned from here. It is by far the rudest forum I have ever had the displeasure of joining. Good riddance.

I've not insulted anyone to be fair. The truth I can handle. Rudeness I cannot.

Thank you for the advice :)

This ties in with the fact I seem to struggle a bit with what an adult portion size is, for example a bowl of cereal. Does anyone know a site I could find such a thing, like an adult portion control chart or something?
