I've been doing a weight lifting class since Oct of last year and was doing Chalean Extreme and Turbo Fire before joining a group fitness class called Pump Up. It is an hour long workout session with a complete body workout with weights and sometimes some cardio in there. You choose the amount of weight you want to pump…

That is what is so great about this site. You can always turn to others to help clairify questions or insecurities about what you are doing, not doing or thinking of doing. I need to do a little more research and truely feel like I know what I'm doing before I can totally jump in. I'm just so tired of this spare tire…

I think I'm just so frustrated and looking everywhere for answers that I'm desparate!! I've been looking at posts in this group and the eat more to lose more group. I really think I've messed up my metabolism and so I just want to make sure I do everything right so I don't gain an aweful amount of weight and then have even…

You may consider a full TDEE Metabolism reset for 6-8 weeks. This will clear any damage you may have done to your metabolism over the years of yo yo dieting. After the 6-8 weeks bring the calories back down to TDEE - 15% Check the stick on this. Remember this is not a fad diet, but a lifestyle change. Most of us are not…

Now with summer coming I probably won't be as active (in a set aside workout but will obviously be active doing stuff outside, mowing lawn, running around with kids, bike riding etc I don't typically sit around watching tv at night and I work full time out of my home so there isn't any sitting around doing nothing) but…

I posted a question a couple of days ago questioning whether or not to add calories back in after a workout and some people responded yes. But when I calculated my numbers I including working out 3 to 5 days a week so just wondering if I would want to keep my calories the same considering the site calculated them based on…

So I was thinking last night regarding these responses. That Scooby site already factors in my workouts. I choose moderatly active 3-5 days a week working out. So I shouldn't necessarily add in any calories. But when I have a really high burn day like say maybe 700 calories do I want to add in calories and if so how much?…

Ok so one more question I want to add in more calories each day that I work out where my burn is over 356?
-
Wow that was easy :) See I think too hard to try and figure it out ;) Uffda!! Thank you!!

Eat 1781 every day. If you exercise and your burn is more than 345 calories then you need to eat more calories that day to reach your BMR of 1436. If you find that you constantly have to eat more to net your BMR you may have your cut calories set too low. You may want to start with a 15% cut from your TDEE, I hope this…

I'm interested in hearing a response to this as well, I've been struggling for 2 years to lose and haven't seen the scale budge. I think I have weightloss immune disease :) UGH :(

Can I ask what you were at and what you bumped it up to calorie range? I've been struggling for about a year now? I'm 5.4 153.4lb's and 39 would really like to see 15 or 20 gone before I'm 40 :)

MFP saying I should be in the 1480 range to lose 1lb a week, when I exercise I wear a heart rate monitor and my 1 hour weightlifting class I burn around 450 calories. So that bumps me into the 1800 range. But from what I'm reading people are saying they are already in the 1800 range and loosing. Is that including your…

Thanks I will do that :)

So I just popped on to this topic and I have a question. I am 39 and 5.4 1/2 150lb's and would like to lose 15 or 20lbs. When I did the recommened setting it put me at 1480. When I do my workouts I bump it up to 1800. I've really been struggling the past year and decided to give MFP a try again but I need to be faithful…
