Rybo (above) got it right. "Toning" isn't a thing. You cannot tone muscle. You either gain it or lose it. Start strength training now along with your diet deficit and cardio routine. Dont wait!!

I eat in a slight surplus to gain lean mass and keep fat gain to a minimum. Ive never seen the point of eating in a giant surplus and gaining a bunch of fat just to have to turn around and shed it later.

Upper back needs to be tight. Before you descend (or even unrack the bar) retract your shoulder blades and keep your elbows back. Xtend by scivation is the best I've had! But I use bcaas twice a day and $23 bucks for a months supply plus my other supplements, I had to find a better price point. I've been using Optimum Nutrition BCAA's and they work just as well. So does Dymatize 50:50 bcaa. You get more for your money and those are brands I trust.

You can't spot reduce and you can't "tone" muscle. You either build it or lose it. Body fat comes off everywhere but some places slower than others. So keep burning it off. That's what you have to do. Period.
