If anyone wants a read https://www.dietdoctor.com/intermittent-fasting

I'll probably continue due to it helping me have greater control, though I may struggle sometimes to eat enough.. I do prefer that over easily eating too much. I've just found a nice article on diet doctor for intermittent fasting for beginners. I'll read this and see if I still want to continue

Ultimately I duno what to do now
-
So are you guys saying other than the convienence and appetite suppression, there is no benefit in fat loss fasting
-
Definitely helps me not over eat, that's for sure. Example, I am in work now. I just made sure I ate my last meal of the day as it is 7PM. - Now I know I have finished for the day, I am good and pretty strict (Mostly). If I wasn't then I would go home at 10PM and eat. Guaranteed..... That's a positive, because I definitely…

Starting to wonder if the one and only website I thought I was learning about IF with, written by an unknown author, without any comments or anything about the article.. was complete and utter bullpoo.... ? If enough of you are saying it is nonsense, I think I know my answer

The above is why I chose to fast, personally since doing it, I used to be a bad binge eating at night times but once I get my head into gear and know I must eat before 7pm.... I haven't been eating after 7pm until 11AM. I think that's good for me?

"To understand how intermittent fasting leads to fat loss we first need to understand the difference between the fed state and the fasted state. Your body is in the fed state when it is digesting and absorbing food. Typically, the fed state starts when you begin eating and lasts for three to five hours as your body digests…

I already been doing this for a month, seeing results, only eating between 11 and 7. Eating minimum bmr, maximum is 2500. Protein high All I'm really asking is what is the importance of eating to my bmr as the minimum? Do I risk losing muscle more if I don't
-
I take amino acids yes :)
-
I like what I have read about IF and the benefits it brings so I want to continue with it, such as the body burning fat more when in the fasted state than the fed state, Training I tend to do chest monday, legs tuesday, back wednesday, legs or chest thursday (depends how legs are), then legs or chest friday (depends what i…

I add (well subtract) a deficit to my tdee and then that's my aim, I'll always eat above my bmr but never over my deficit tdee. I don't bother adding what exercise I've done to mfp. Always done it this way :)
-
Generally, recovery has been OK as I've been doing a single muscle group each day so will do chest, legs, back.. Etc but I just listen to my body and a close friend and work colleague is a physiotherapist who helps me a lot. Been advised to rest this weekend so I did a little HIIT on treadmill today and that's it, maybe…
-
Heh yeah. My bmr is over that, tdee is 3000 calories. My aims are 2000+ minimum but not over 2500 :)
-
Yeah it's doable, I did it, used peanut butter yesterday was abit easier but today thought I'll go for a meal. It was a huge salad.. Tuna, mayo, 2 boiled eggs all mashed with red onion, sweetcorn on top of a typical salad with cheese plus a casein protein to top it off. Roughly 1000 cals. 185cals short of deficit tdee goal…
-
Oh forgot to mention, my calorie and macro goal is based on my tdee -deficit, though at a minimum I must always eat my bmr, no matter what.
-
Nah its cool, I am going to do a deficit thats for sure, not surplus. Made my decision there, thats all I was asking really and you all helped with that choice So thanks

I already have semi visible abs at 20% BF, Im either not 20% BF or you guys are mistaken at how apparently fat 20% body fat is...... maybe abit of both, 8-20% is the recommended BF for males
-
Ya'll making me feel obese saying how high 20% BF is haha I am far from obese and can already see some definition on my stomach... 20% value has come from the tanita scales... probably not accurate, I do have fat I want to lose but I am definitely not fat
-
Just read this article, seems to make sense. http://scoobysworkshop.com/gain-muscle-lose-fat/ BMR is 1979 @ 3-5workouts a week TDEE is 3068, 10% calorie deficit as suggested is 2761. Still seems fairly high.. especially when doing macros as its telling me to eat 1g per lb bodyweight in protein, no higher than 30% fat.. so…
-
Me too but cant decide, as mentioned dont want to lose muscle but I guess when building muscle aslong as you dont eat too much to gain fat.. if on deficit, aslong as you dont eat too little you may not lose muscle either? Hm
