  • I once made a very large bowl of salad for a work party. It was in a tupperware - a very large one, can't remember the exact size. Anyway, I hadn't put any dressing on it, kept the dressing in a tiny tupperware to mix it together just before we ate. When we were all in the conference Room about to start, two of my co…
  • Just from this I'd suggest: Stop drinking your calories, start chewing. Eat more vegetables, more salad - you don't need dressing but if you want to have something on it add lemon/salt/evoo/vinegar.. snack on carrots or tomatoes or celery or other vegetables loaded with nutrition and very low calories If you are OK with…
  • There are two WAWA's in Southern VA as well.. in the Williamsburg, VA area.
  • If you see a Whole Foods or Safeway, go inside and get food from their buffet's.. they have everything you'd want to eat and then some. Even sushi!
  • I don't care for Frappuccino's, or any other sugar-loaded drink. I used to drink soda's A LOT, until about 2007 when I started to cut it out of my diet.. I still occasionally drink 1 cup every few weeks. Foods I can't stop myself from eating : anything potatoes, bread (French, Ciabatta , Italian - no sourdough plz), cheese…

  • This has helped me too, thanks
  • Nothing major.. I just couldn't wear my beautiful size 4 and 6 clothing.
  • me,me,me,me,me:bigsmile:
  • In the past, I would notice my belly is bulging out after drinking my homemade smoothies. So, I started adding more water to it and drinking it slowly. I don't have the same problem. Sugar = belly fat. I also add in more vitamins to my blender: my daily iron + calcium + vit c + vit d, and sometimes I put in a daily vitamin…
  • How long have you been on your non-atkins diet?
  • I do, sadly  for the past few years now (since 2009). There is NOTHING that is a miracle worker that'll get rid of it. What you CAN do is just take care of yourself on the inside and outside, and make sure to get your 8 hours of sleep. I've tried every cream and serum under the moon, nothing is 100% effective. I've…

  • If I cheat, I try to do it by adding in one cheat-type food (ie. cake, cookies, etc). I don't recommend doing it by 'day' because it has had a reverse effect for me. I end up going 2-3 days of "cheat" before getting back on the wagon!

  • wow, i love this!
  • ^^^^^^THIS! :blushing:
  • You look completely different! :noway: Much younger and cuter! Were you seriously only 158? You look like you were in the 160s at least! :noway:
  • Soda, as well as other asidic juices and drinks, aren't good for your teeth. If anything, do it so that when you're 70, you're teeth are still on you.
  • Salted pistachios!
  • YES! But not lately.. In the past, when I would be making breakfast, I'd measure out the potatoes/eggs/bread/etc and separate them. Then, when everything was done and measured and I was ready to eat after cooking, if someone tried to touch 'my' plate, I'd snap at them. LOL Nowadays I just cook for myself, that solves the…
  • This reminds me of my 16 1/2 yr old nephew. He was overweight for most of his later elementary - middle school school years. In 9th grade he went from eating everything in sight and exercising (he was always active and in sports, but he ate lots of 'real' food and junk food) TO eating better and working out excessively. He…
  • Clearly you both don't know any Ethopians, lolol.. Just because you see "some Ethopians" on TV (part of a program asking for money to feed the needy, perhaps?) looking like skeletons doesn't mean that's the average.
  • Below average You have a lower BMI than 70% of females aged 30-44 in your country Global - (USA) Above average You have a higher BMI than 65% of females aged 30-44 in the world Did you know? If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 28,489,536 tonnes to the total weight of the world's population You're…
  • You can say that about pretty much any place that sells food : Starbucks, Panera Bread.. even any sit down Restaurant.. supermarkets that sell junk food loaded with pesticides and/or junk meat (like hot dogs). That's why you have a choice. Choose wisely.
  • I have the choice to go into a McD's and order a large #1 (( OR )) go into a supermarket and get some real food (cut up and ready to eat fruit medley, vegetables, sandwich, even sushi!). Let's stop blaming companies and start blaming ourselves for downing 3,000-4,000 calories a day instead of the amount we should've been…
  • If your wife loves to bake (I do too!) she can try experimenting with making recipes that have less calories and more nutrition. Like the old method of using apple sauce instead of vegetable oil, and sour cream or yogurt instead of cream cheese. They really do work! I have to think twice when it comes to eating chips.…
  • I'll tell you what I started doing, since weekends were almost always a disaster for me (eating 2,300 - 3,300 calories each day). I started NOT eating anything until late afternoon but have my morning coffee and perhaps a boiled egg. Why? Because I'm almost always invited somewhere for food or like you said I hang out with…
  • If you're eating Indian food, I'd stick to eating everything but the naan bread. It's loaded with fat (from the butter) and carbs. Enjoy!
  • I've always done those types of exercises at home. I excelled at those instructor-led workouts when I was younger, but now.. HA! There are so many videos you can buy and do at home. Have you ever tried? You can workout at your own pace.. press pause and rewind as you wish.
