Maybe my calories are set too high? 5'3, 135 lbs, 25 years old. Calories set at 1600. I lift 4x a week for about an hour and stair stepper for 20-30 mins 4 x a week. I've been doing 5 low carb days... 50g carbs or less. Keeping fats and protein high. Then change up my macros so I hit 125-175g carbs for 2 days. I really…

I have great blood pressure. I'm already a healthy weight, I'm only losing weight for vanity reasons.

I don't have any issues with sodium. I would really like to pre cook meals but honestly, I just never get around to it.

I have never used protein powder before but I absolutely LOVE this. It's great with water or millk 120 cals, 3g carbs. I love it. I usually use water because it saves on calories and you really don't need the milk. I will say, if you use milk or especially almond milk, USE A BLENDER but with water it breaks down great.

I would also suggest a minimum of 400 extra calories due to nursing.

Congrats on making this much of an effort! First, it's going to take time. You didn't gain a bunch of weight in a week or a month and it won't come off that fast either. The most important thing is to realize how weight loss works. 3500 is a lb. 3500/7= 500 If you cut 500 calories from your diet, you'll lose 1 lb a week. I…

I took 4/5 times on C25K week 1. I moved to week 2 Thursday and plan on running tomorrow. I've played sports my whole life and yet, I've never enjoyed running at all. C25K DEFINITELY has made me enjoy it more. It's a process though. I HIGHLY suggest googling running basics like how to breathe properly, shoes, stretches,…

Welcome! The best way to lose weight is a calorie deficit. Make sure you track you're food intake accurately! It's okay that you struggle with P90X. I have friends who completed P90X and even on the last day it was a challenge but they got in great shape! Keep at it! Quote because I don't know how to link a photo.... "I…

I haaattteee running. I highly highly suggest the c25k app if you're going to free walk/jog or using the treadmill. The apps free, pur in your headphones and it tells you what to do and when to do it. I've been using it for a few days and have noticed a GREAT improvement already. Also, Google proper breathing techniques…

Good job!

Thank you. "As well to lose fat you need a calorie deficet and based on your weight/height a 10% deficet would be fine. " I ENJOY lifting and lifting as heavy as I can with the workout I listed. I started doing cardio to help with the fat loss. Originally, I used the elliptical and did interval training but I got burnt out…

If I use the item given by the barcode and enter raw weight it puts me at 450+ on cals. If I use the raw weight with a raw item it puts me at 250-300 cals. It hasn't fully cooked to be measured again.

You're correct in that your comment was unnecessary. I did do research, unfortunately due to fad diets, fad exercises, different goals, different body types, different availability, etc. I found conflicting information. I do however appreciate your apology but I would like to point out a few points to you and to anyone…

This^ I will cut up strawberries or bananas then pour hershey's chocolate syrup over it. It's delicious and it hits the spot. It's also easy to control the calories.

Lift 4x a week.... takes about 30-45 minutes (I only rest 30 seconds between sets and a minute or two between types of workouts) Cardio 3x a week..... takes about 30 minutes

You look amazing! Great job. I don't know you but I'm ginuenly happy for you.

Okay! Thanks! I've never had any problems like that. I just wanted to make sure. I won't go over 160g protein (40%). I never eat exactly 1600 and I looove some carbs so I will gladly trade if I need to. lol. Thanks again!

Peanut butter. I wish I liked it but I just don't. It'd be super helpful on counting calories and with protein.

Thanks everyone!

I really really dispise cardio however I kinda like it now. I do interval sessions on the elliptical. I watch my strides perinute and watch HULU on my phone. It works wonders. I was surprised at how easy it was to multitask. I've also started running. I'm using an app called c25k. Its couch to 5k. I like it and I hate…

So its okay to lift then go run immediately after? I know its not ideal but it won't hurt. Correct?
-
I can run one day a week without lifting but I do my an workouts before. I can't wait hours between either. However I can limit to running on upper days. You're last part about using fat for fuel isn't that what I want?

Different chickens are built differently.... They each have a different amount of fat etc. in the breast. Also, the way you cook makes a difference.

Chips. 160 cals. In the moment they are worth it but later on I get hungry and I realize it was a mistake.
-
Definitely need more information to give an accurate answer.... BUT.... Let's say you ate exactly 2000 calories a day, everyday, for days/weeks/months and that was your maintenance calories. Then you added in a banana and 8 strawberries. One 130g Banana - 98 cals Eight Strawberries - 46 cals (estimate since I can't weigh…

What's your goal? Lose weight? Gain? Maintain? Get stronger? Get toned? Etc. Are you calorie counting? What about your macros?
-
Yeah...I've come to the conclusion that I am a healthy weight regardless of how I look. Its going to be harder to shed these pounds and cheat days will only make it harder. I plan on cheating bi weekly or monthly but only by 100+ cals or so. Just to shake things up a bit. Before my cheat days were like 500+ over goal. I'm…

Iifym puts my maintaince at 1859 and my fat loss at 1487?

I've been calorie counting for almost 2 months but I wasn't paying ANY attention to my macros. I've been working out for three weeks but I wasn't pushing myself on the weights. I think I was scared of lifting to failure. MFP originally put me at 1360?ish. I used iifym to come up with 1600. I'd ideally like to lose 1 lb a…
