I'm just getting started with something similar (40P/35C/25F). I'll have to let you know how it goes! I have tried almost everything else, so we'll see how this goes. Best of luck to you!

I am finishing up my second week of Body Beast! My husband and I are going through it together. So far we both really like it!

Unfortunately, if you want an accurate reading, you will need a HRM. Otherwise, it really wouldn't matter what you logged it as because you will never know if it is accurate since calorie burn is based on how hard you worked during the workout and your age. If it helps, I have seen people burn 400-500 calories a workout,…

I started on July 8! Love the program! Best of luck!

I skipped right to Level 3 because I started mixing in 30DS after finishing Insanity. As I know you are aware, the calorie burn will be different for every individual and is based weight, age and intensity level. I typically burn around 380 calories for Level 3 and I did not take breaks. I used 10# weights for the dumbbell…

Declined push-ups (feet on a chair or weight bench, hands on floor) will engage more of your body weight, hence making it more challenging. I am not certain of the exact percentage, but I think it engages 70% of your body weight!

Thanks for all the responses! I have not washed the sensor strap at all. I actually take an Oxy pad and wash it after every third or fourth use, but that is the extent. Luckily I don't share my strap, eh? LOL Maybe I need to tighten the strap...I hadn't thought of that. It is just peculiar how some days it works well while…

OMG!! I thought I was the only one! hahaha

I created my own exercise for each of the workouts. You definitely need a heart rate monitor to track your calories burned and it is a good idea anyways to track your level of intensity for the workouts. Best of luck! I am an Insanity grad and it was such a feeling of accomplishment when I finished! My only words of advice…

Thanks girl! The 50% is actually my protein. That has helped me tremendously to increase it. I am not trying to limit my carbs too much since I need the energy to get through the workouts, but I feel great! Best of luck with Jillian Michaels! Her workouts are tough!

haha...I thought I was the only one who listend to Dr. Laura!

Welcome to MFP! I'd be happy to help in any way I can, although I am not currently doing the C25K. Kudos to making the right choice to begin this journey of healthy living! You will love this site!

Thanks for the advice! I have carried hair spray before and actually had to use it! I figured it was less toxic to use than pepper spray. LOL I think I made the dog more pissed off, eventhough he did run away. I just hate hurting animals.

Do you track protein, carbs and fat as well, or simply calories?
-
I used it during Insanity and still continue to drink it! I love it and it definitely helped me with muscle soreness. I crave it after my workouts!

That is so awesome! Great results! I have been doing P90X for over a year now and I count my calories, but I didn't see results like that! I was wondering if the nutrition was the factor missing in my regime, but after reading your message, perhaps not! You are an inspiration! Keep up the great work and BRING IT!
-
I agree with those above...if you are pretty fit, start with P90X and do your best.
-
Thanks everyone! Some great stuff here! I also appreciate that I am not the only one suffering from "chub rub"...that was a great term by the way! Love it!

I would say 10-minute Trainer incorporates strength training along with cardio. If you go on the teambeachbody.com webiste, there are testimonials about the fitness program. One reads something along the lines of three DVDs and you have P90X in 30 minutes! I don't know much about the Jillian Michaels, so I can't speak to…

Awesome job, girl! I am like you...wanting to lose %body fat more so than weight. I finished Insanity in October and now I am doing mostly P90X, but not following any schedule. Best of luck to you! Can't wait to see your results the next go around!
-
Holy cow! That's freakin' awesome! Fantastic job! You are an inspiration!

I've been doing P90X and Insanity since March of last year and let me tell you it is probably more important to follow the diet more so than getting through the workouts.
-
Love my Shakeology!

Honestly...I've been dieting my entire life! Now I like to call it a change in lifestyle. To truly answer your question, I have been going gung ho with the eating healthy and exercise since March 2011, although, I have always done some sort of circuit training and cardio, just not as intense. Since March, I have not seen…

I normally eat 1800-2000 calories per day on workout days. I have been eating less lately to mix things up. I definitely am not trying to starve myself intentionally. My metabolism is f*kd up because it has ALWAYS been incredibly slow. I hoped by eating more frequently through the day that I would speed it up some. I just…
