"Don't start with the meals function. Start in your diary and click on "add food" below the meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.) that you want to add to. In either the website or the Android App (and I assume the iOS app must be similar) you'll have choices at that point. The choices are slightly different in the app from…

Thankyou SO much for taking the time to give me a detailed answer. However, when I go into meals I see the meal name and ingredients list but there is no option for "add meal" even when I am trying to add a meal for today. Is this function only available in Premium?

Thankyou for your reply. I do transfer from date when I can remember I last had that meal but it can sometimes be a while ago and I waye lots of time searching. I know how to save as a meal but I don't know how to add that saved meal back into my diary on a particular day...there seems to be no option to do that. 🤔

Also ...is it possible to edit the meal or meal name please? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I am not sure would be right?

Thanks ...I can't work out how to do it thoiugh? There isn't a red circle next to the foods that one can use in ones daily food diary...??

Walking is good for you. The faster and longer you go the better the exercise. Its better than sitting in front of the TV and can only do you more good!

Answer it with I'll prove you wrong and treat yourself with something that isn't eating - a nice bath, a walk, a chat with a friend, a run, or whatever..... And keep answering !!

Cheating is just so negative and punishing in tone and potentially makes one feel bad and a failure. I don't ban any food, I just cut to small portions of anything I fancy. I also think before eating it whether the pleasure is worth the potential consequences in calories; sometimes it is , sometimes it isn't! There are…

I would suggest cutting the portions of what you eat, rather than banning any foods per se. Quite quickly you find that you cant eat as much as you used to as your body adapts. I tend to opt fir smaller portions of e erything, mainly healthy with a few less healthy foods, and the wight is dropping steadily

Remember that muscle weighs more than fat and your exercise will be building muscle. Are you sure you NEED to lose more weight. Your exercise must be toning and streamlining and I am sure you must look and feel good. Think how you look not just pounds! You don't say how tall you are?

Are you weighing on different scales? Are they accurate? start eating healthily again and within calories, it will soon sort out. And think of some non eating treats for yourself ...you need them right now

I do this to help me plan out my calorie intake. Also helps me to see whether it is ok for me to eat a particular treat occasionally within sticking to my calorie goals.

As someone else has said, just stop please with all the videos and daft comments on dirty eating. My original query was a serious one. Now this thread is just turning into a somewhat inappropriate commentary on women!! Funny how there has been no videos of blokes eating!! So thanks again for the serious debate and answers…

I just don't crave chocolate like I used to ...which makes life easier!!

Well i might have known this query would result in some of the very predictable suggestions ....but thankyou also for the sensible ones!!!

Cutting my portions of everything I eat except salads, fruit and vegetables!! Those portions tend to be bigger

Well I'm back from my week away! I didn't log while away. I did eat more than normal in terms of unusual breads and cheeses but I kept portions reasonable and piled my plate with salads at every opportunity! Had more wine than normal too. Made sure I walked every day as well and carried on tracking that with my pedometer.…

1. Standing up to walk out, feeling a pull on my skirt and thinking that one rather 'creepy' interviewer was putting his hand on my leg ...turning round to comment on that vociferously, only to find that my skirt hem had caught on the chair arm and I was dragging the chair behind me!! 2. Half way through an interview,…

Its the square of the metabolism divided by the square of the total calories per portion multiplied by the number of portions times the age minus the exercise miles plus the algebraic x,yand z. That gives you the total calories per raspberry!

Thanks for all the comments. In previous posts I have commented on my knowledge of my own psychology which is that I eat smaller portions of anything I fancy eating rather than "depriving myself" which just makes my willpower struggle!! Hence my comment about not depriving myself! Smaller portions and careful consideration…

Thanks - I think I generally agree with you. I will probably be walking quite a lot - both for sightseeing and up in the mountains. I find that MFP has made me so much more aware of all my choices too which is good even when not logging - I just don't eat for the sake of it anymore. Had a bit of a day off today too for a…
