I have a hard time saying 'no' and staying under control as well. I'm trying to plan in advance and allow myself a 'cheat meal' for Thanksgiving, but get right back to the diet afterwards. I tend to be an all-or-nothing person, so I plan on enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. You should do the same!

There's two different brands: Shirakiku and Shirataki that both make the same type of no/low cal noodles. The Shirakiku yam noodles are what I typically use, because the packages are larger. I did WW on and off for years. The Points program just didn't work for me, and it didn't calculate your carbs, protein and fat intake as accurately as MFP. Plus, the food database was limited. I've done WW before and MFP is way better. Its more accurate and the food database is more extensive. I think you'll enjoy it!

Yes, eating "clean" is the way to go regarding carbs. Although I really shouldn't be saying anything tonight after gorging on late-night Jelly Bellies and red wine :(.

I, too, have lost more weight utilizing MFP than WW. The food database is more comprehensive, but I sure liked the idea of "free" calories. Okay, okay. The watermelon is going back in the fridge!

I try and substitute beer for lower calorie drinks such as Skinny Girl Margaritas (not exactly a manly beverage, I know), which is basically tequila with fresh lime juice. It has the same effect though and will help you relax after work.

Depending on the gym, I recommend the classes. At 24 Hour Fitness they have Body Pump, which is a great lift workout. You can burn anywhere between 300 and 600 calories per class, and the routine is fun.

I agree with happy_vegan. Tea at night curbs my hunger. I buy multi-packs with a variety of flavors to keep i interesting, and it gives me something to prepare. And its calorie-free!
