  • That sounds like fun! There is an iphone app too :)
  • It sounds like the problem may be that you are not fueling and refueling your body properly. M,W,F I work out about 3 hours and T, Th, Sat 1.5 -2 hrs and feel just fine. You may want to look into getting yourself some sort of carb/protien blend supplement. Accelerade is a great example. I love the fruity flavors. I will…
  • I wouldn't say mine are ripped but well defined. Love it! I'll think up some sort of magic or something to send your way ;)
  • Just do a little searching, there really are boots out there that us large calved ladies can wear. I feel like a sexy lady in my Pikolinos. When I put them on.....mmmmmmmm. Yeah I didn't leave the store without them.
  • I'm 5'4", 214 lbs and have 16" calves (no cankles). I always have because of cycling and jogging. I carry my junk in the trunk and have hips too but I stay an hour glass figure no matter what size which I'm very pleased with.
  • I'm on the other side of the world and it is already 5:30 pm on Thursday here :)
  • candican: its not that the elasticity wears out, the mesh part that touches your skin can wear out thus creating the malfunction in reading your HR. Just a suggestion and that was what was wrong with mine after so much use :)
  • I'm a long time user of polar HRMs and am currently using the F11 model which has the soft chest strap. Mine too was being a pain about reading my HR consistently. So through process of elimination, (changing the batteries in the transmitter and the watch as well as making sure I washed the strap regularly), i finally…
  • Don't be scared, embrace it as a starting point for change!! I too don't like to get caught up in numbers, so I only weigh myself every two weeks. Don't forget to do measurements too, changes often show up there even though the scale doesn't move sometimes. Good luck!
  • Also meant to add, I put them in sandwiches, pitas. Cut them up as a side veggie with dinner. Mix in some tomatoes and a balsamic. Yummmmmy.

  • I am also on a medication that makes me sweat a bit more. I don't really give a care what people think, i'm gettin my workout on and I feel cleansed after a good sweat. Have you taken a look around at how many people get good and sweaty doing cardio? There are lots so I wouldn't worry about it. I agree with the wiping down…
  • M, W, F: 2 hrs mixed cardio, 1 hr weights T, Th, Sat: 1.5-2 hrs cardio One day a week I try to add in yoga to help keep me stretched out.
  • Holy crow, that is awesome!!! Keep it up!
  • I run on the treadmill during really hot times and I use no less than a 2-2.5% incline. I've found that it makes it much easier for those times I run outside. When I'm having a challenging moment, I just look at those around me on the treadmills running at 0% incline and remind myself that I am benefiting more. These…
  • Recipe please?

  • I forgot to add, are you drinking more than just water? You'll need to replenish your electrolytes and salt. When i was training for my endurance event, i would alternate between 1 bottle electrolytes (i liked accelerade) and 1 bottle of Nuun. Sporting goods stores or cycle shops will often have sample sizes so you can see…
  • Try some Sharkies. Just google it, they are yummy and I found they were easy to keep in a pocket and snack on while riding. Same with fig newtons. I would also make my healthy banana bread, cut into smaller pieces and make little peanut butter sandwiches out of it. Good carbs and protein.

  • I'm located in the Seattle area, we have a house there. We will be back home mid July (been here since January). Don't hate me cause i know how much it has been raining back home, but I'm in Australia's winter and its mid 70's today. We've adjusted to the weather here though and I think we are going to be cold. We wear…
  • I wear my heart rate monitor and created a new entry for it in my log.

  • Poisonapple - I too am spending more time in the gym as i have the free time right now. I am in the gym from 2-4 hours depending on the day. I do proper stretching in between and use supplements to help with muscle recovery. I am neither sluggish or tired because I make sure I eat when my body tells me too but making sure…
  • But running in the rain can be so fun. The hard part is starting. I don't mind it but I'm born and raised in Washington.
  • Yay, more PNWers!!! Please feel free to add me.
  • Podcasts!!! I love stuff with the BPM included so I can stay on my running targets. All of the "Motion Traxx" "Podcasts for Running" "Podrunner Intervals" "Podrunner Workout"
  • Sooo yummy. They go great with anything really. Our favorite is with pork.
  • i had the same problem until I discovered Title Nine Sports http://www.titlenine.com I am a changed woman now, support that actually does what it is suppose3 to for us bigger breasted women.! Not to mention that T9's customer service in person, online or on the phone is fantastic.
  • Yes, I edit incorrect items as well. I figure I'm doing my job to help reduce all the crazy duplication in there already. I've seen identical items except that a person has put their own initials in the name of the food. If you do that, you shouldn't make it a public item, it is just way to confusing.
  • SimonLondon - Haha! I thought I was the only one who had to dry my soaked sweaty clothes before tossing them in the hamper :)
  • Those of you who also sweat a lot while exercising make me feel so much better. I do too, I'll soak a shirt and my cap. I'm just glad it isn't like smelly guy sweat though. I've had a close girlfriend check just to be sure!!! LOL It does feel good to cleanse the pores too.
