Several foods with incorrect nutrition info

i can't help but notice that several foods have improper info. This is not surprising as many are entered by users and on the fly. As an example, mussels are listed with a caloric value only and no protein, carbs, etc. Other listings have two different serving sizes with the same nutrition info for both.

Yes, you have to be careful when you're entering foods in your diary. I always look through and make sure the info looks correct. You can correct an entry if you see that it is wrong.

I didn't realize that I could correct it. Kind of like Dorothy and the ruby red slippers, I had the power to fix all these errors all along! How do I correct it?

i am not sure how to change them but usually i just get the package and add my own and then share it with other users if i find one that is off. wishing you a very successful and happy day!:flowerforyou:

 If you go to the food tab then to database and type in whatever food you're looking for, when you click on the food it shows it's nutrition info and there is an edit button.

As eliblish shared there's an edit button you can always make changes on the items that are not accurate. Though keeping in mind it may be an item from another Country other than the US which often times has different values than here.

The only thing about everyone adding there own food to the database instead of using what's already listed and editing it to correct errors is then the database ends up with say 25 Kashi Sunshine Cereals listings instead of 1 since others may have also added it in instead of checking first.

    Just a thought :flowerforyou:

Yes, I edit incorrect items as well. I figure I'm doing my job to help reduce all the crazy duplication in there already. I've seen identical items except that a person has put their own initials in the name of the food. If you do that, you shouldn't make it a public item, it is just way to confusing.
