  • If you want to lose weight... My best advice. Bin the xenical. I did about 3 months on it and the leakage was so bad i was scared to work out and that was with a pretty low fat diet. I think i lost around 14lb in a 3 month period with it. Tho i have achieved that by using this site and exercise without the xenical. Good…
  • I have completed c25k. They all essentially do the same thing. Don't be afraid to repeat weeks when needed. If you dont master the current week your doing then try to move on you will put yourself off.
  • I had love handles, they are no more. I did 2 exercises every day to get shot of them. 1st 1 was a low plank (on forearms instead of hands) and lifting your knees up to your chest with a twist. Cant remember proper name for them. 2 sets of 50 (if i could manage them) every day and russian twists 2 x 50 with a 10kg kettle…
  • I would be thrilled that i kept the weight off when i was stowed off busy. That's a HUGE NSV in itself. When things get manic for me i do dumb things like jog or bounce about when i do household chores, i dance or jog on the spot if i am stuck slaving in the kitchen. I will also take 5 mins out and run up and down the…
  • I HATE the taste and texture of both frozen and tinned fruit. keep checking out aldi, they have some fab promotions on fresh produce that change weekly. Also as other said, markets if you eat them same day. The current offer in asda is 2 x 400g punnets of scottish strawberrys for £3 i think thats pretty cheap and they are…
  • When i was heavier planks KILLED my wrists to the point i could only hold form for 5-10 seconds so the gym instructor told me to drop down onto my forearms. That worked a treat. Press ups i also changed up for a while and did them with my knees bent on floor instead and that stopped my wrist pain. Other suggestion is to…
  • I am a tad under 5ft5. I have lost over 100lb thus far, gone from a uk 20-22 and am currently in a uk 8-10, on here every day and diary is open to friends. All adds welcome xxx
  • I have lost 102lb all together. I was a UK 20-22 depending on the store. I lost about 30lb before i went down to a solid 18 then a further 20lb to get into a 16 but when i got down to a 16 the sizes seemed to go down quicker as i am now a UK 8-10 in pants. I am a classic pear so my hips, *kitten* and thighs were real…
  • I do 150 squats, 40 reps on each leg of 1 leg squats, 30 lunges each leg all with 17lb kettle bell, I do 60mins+ a day walking and or 30-60 on exercise bike as cardio and the odd class at the gym and i have lost a shed load of inches from my thighs and *kitten* since doing the daily leg routine. I also added 150 russian…
  • Too many people take nice passing comments as "perving" Speaking from my own experiences i was used to the whispers saying "Oh she would be really attractive if she put some effort in" or "She would be stunning if she lost weight". I am not used to getting nice comments, so frankly i am unsure how to react. For sure tho...…
  • I would say spending $100 on a pair of "treat" jeans for hitting your goal is practical. If you have these expensive jeans that you adore, they are your motivation to stay on track when you have to maintain your goal weight and prevent the LB's creeping back on. The way they fit can be your "guideline". Also You deserve an…
  • Asda sell a lush red pepper and chilli cottage cheese! YUMMY!
  • I also recommend the new rules of lifting for women. Packed with loads of info!!! Its a great starting point!
  • From my experience, The atmosphere on race day will boost your up before you start and you will end up beating your PB! Make sure you warm up properly tho before the race!! Good luck x
  • I tried avacado for the 1st time yesterday raw, I have had it in guacamole but obv thats mixed with different stuff. OMG its DELISH. Was a little unsure at first as i am funny with food textures but the taste YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. One problem tho... I went to eat the other half today that i had put in a tupperware box in…
  • My weight is pretty much staying the same. Its the inch loss that's bothering me but i have no clue how to stop it! I have looked at a calculator that explains what calories i need to maintain. I have not changed goals and details on here yet to maintain as i am unsure what is going to work for me. I eat around 2000 a day…
  • I would never every deprive my body of fresh fruit regardless of the sugar content. If i was tracking sugar i would think twice about a cadburys creme egg. The sugar counter appeared on my diary the other day although i have not changed anything nor requested to track this. Since it appeared when i complete my diary entry…
  • you know, i was a salad dressing *kitten*. I had no idea what the calorie content of them was, i assumed because it went hand in hand with salad that it would be good/ healthy. So i learned the hard way. So my tip... I bet loads of you go erghhhhhhhhhhhhh at this one....I drizzle a few tspn's of pickled beetroot juice over…
  • UK-Newcastle upon tyne. Log almost every day and also enjoys a natter. Feel free to add all x
  • I bought some to try and its VILE. It has the most awful texture it was just like eating hot slime with a pesto sauce. NEVER again. Believe me tho, if i liked it my cupboards would be full of it cause its low carbers heaven.
  • I think you should say... Sod everyone else and do whatever you feel happy doing. Your doing an event for charity at the end f the day not a sporting event. I did race for life 5k last year. I started with the walkers as my friend wanted to walk, when we started she says balls it i will run as far as i can and she ended up…
  • So they just make you sweat? so when you stop wearing them and rehydrate you are back to your usual size? How strange!! I did wonder if they were just like sauna suits with pretty colours LOL x
  • First port of call before upping calories and messing with macros when i went trough this was check your measurments. Anyone who is working out several times a week should try this. I would not however suggest this to someone who is losing weight watching diet alone with no exercise. I think if you measure yourself you…
  • I am with some of my stuff. My children have been known to pinch my fat free yoghurts (they pick their own when we shop) polish it off then fill their faces with sweets, ice cream or cake. I also buy little things like packets of crackers and melba toasts to dip in cottage cheese to take to work that they think are just my…
  • I have had 2 recently. A friend asked me how many inches i had lost from my waist. I looked back n here to my starting figure and told her my before and after. I thought to myself... Hmm that's quite satisfying so i looked up all my records from my first inch entry and my current stats. I lumped them all together and got a…
  • I have dropped several pants sizes doing my own version of squat challenge with a kettle bell. Having strong legs has many many benefits. I am a better swimmer then before. I completed c25k so i could run as a cardio work out and when i used to come home after a 30 min run my legs would feel like jelly and my knees would…
  • I am fortunate not to have had the rude comments from staff because when i was larger (size uk 20-22) i didnt bother shopping TBH. I went into asda for my grocerie shopping every week and i would pick up a pair of jeans, pants a t-shirt maybe, bare minimum to tide me over. This was because it didn't really matter what i…
  • You need to get it removed asap. And no your no idiot for wanting to have clean ears. This happened to me once when i bought cheapy ear pickers but i was lucky and managed to remove it myself as it was not wedged very far in my ear.
  • Whatever the scales say when you step on them, don't beat yourself up about it. Tomorrow is a new day. Its a huge plus point that you realise you made bad choices and are aware you might have to work a little harder to undo them. We all have slip ups and holidays are one of the toughest times to not over indulge. 5 days of…
