I had gotten up to 4 miles longest outdoor distance last December ('11) before getting pregnant. I just started back up with jogging a month ago and just completed 4.36 straight jogging this week! I am going really slow because I had broken a bone in the ball of my foot a few years ago and don't want injury. I am signing…

I was in this position... I hate computers, but was a DBA because I passed the courses in college. Then I found a masters program that melded my computer background with other fields such as biology, sociology and psychology together. I tried the program and fell in love. There are many variations of a lot of fields out…

mapmyrun is an app that I use. It does GPS location to monitor, as well as how far you go every mile, average speed, current speed and other options. It simply does this and interrupts your music when you hit a milestone; so I don't see why you couldn't use it while listening to podcasts. Also, what is nice is it records…

I am like you, I am currently on a hiatus (5 months pregnant and my belly wants to fall out of my butt when I run longer than a mile) from jogging and am just walking right now. Before this, however, I was at 4.25 miles on my long runs and was working up to a 10K. I am hoping that I can get back into it relatively shortly…

As long as you stick to your calorie intake you will be fine. People usually gain weight because they need the fill that oral fixation. Gum was my best friend

I would say that it depends on if the guy "Knows" he's hot. If he is confident, that's one thing, but when he KNOWS he's hot he relies on that and tends to become arrogant and mean until some one wipes him a new one!

If you guys are interested, a very good book o the matter is "Elsewhere, U.S.A" by Dalton Conley. It is more focused on how frazzled our lives has been, but it really hits home on all of these topics. I also did a Masters paper on how modern society/technologies have affected obesity rates in the US and developing…

worst book ever was Elizabeth Tudor, Vampire Slayer. Granted, I bought it because the title made me laugh so hard I couldn't resist, and I really should have known better. I think I got about a quarter of the way through and was like "oh please, this is sooo retarded!". Worst movie from a book - CUJO! I LOVED the book, and…

Long time ago... but still sounds good. I LOVE vinegar... and toast. I would have like four slices of toast and butter, and then dip it in vinegar. I know that is carb death, but man, it was good!

yea, we never really had any real passion in our relationship, and that is something I had a tough time letting go of (still always want it), but there is so much more that makes a relationship, you have to ask what would I be losing if I made that my deal breaker?

I had always thought it would be Love (romance, intimacy, passion) Communication Trust But after being with my husband for 7 years, who is the most non romantic person I know (Don't think he even knows the word passion), I have come to realize that success in a relationship means so much more and have a new top 3 Love -…

there were a lot of veggies that I thought that I didn't like until I actually sat down and tried each one individually and tried them both raw and steamed. Each way brings different flavors and textures. When you try to slowly eat a veggie by itself, you can really tell the flavor of each one and be surprised what you may…

although I love shows like pretty little liar, revenge, House and many others, they are not the dirty little secret of my TV habits. Those would include: Teen Mom, Teen Mom 2, America's next top model and toddlers in tiaras... I love watching the train wrecks that are some people's lives... i just can't help it!

5'11. I am currently gaining as I am 8 weeks prego, but before I was between 166 - 168. My happiest was at 155 so I would love to go back there when I am back in diet mode again. Just is hard to get there.

You look nice and toasty warm!

Hey all - I have found out that I am 7 weeks pregnant today. Over the past week and a half I have had some issues (mentally) with my body changes. I have always been one to diet. I am 5'11 and 165lb. For many years I have (on average) stuck to around 1500 net calories a day. I have been at this level for so long (and with…

I don't think I have quite ever hit the zone. I am new(ish) to running and am at the point where I can go over 4 miles on my long runs. I have noticed though that my shorter runs are going faster and longer and they are done much faster and easier than I ever thought possible. Zone, I am not sure, but definitely over a…

perhaps you can do a something that will benefit both things. Just work on losing a half pound per week. This gives you more calories to eat, and will allow a little bit less stress. Find activities that are more fun, so you are not concentrating on the fitness part of it rather than the enjoyment part of it.

I am 5'11 and roughly 160-163. I usually where a size 10, but business pants, usually an 8 and cordoroys are around a 12.

it is in the middle of the left knee. from height perspective, the middle. From left to right perspective, the right. It feels like the pain is on the insdie though. Once I get moving, the pain subsides. So it is most painful when I am not using it then get up to walk... or when I kneel down and bend my knee completely,…

ok, I had broken a sesmoid bone a while ago and just got out of a walking boot end of May. I am not a runner but want to be and am taining at a very slow pace (12 minute mile) walking and jogging and building up the distance that I can jog. I am pacing myself to not re injure the foot. I wear these new balance that are…

totally jealous. I broke a sesmoid bone (like a knee cap, but in the ball of your foot) in January, just got out of a walking boot at the end of April. I am just doing exercises now that cause me to put pressure on the ball of my foot. really simple exercises like walkding at 4mph, or doing some tae bo like classes. and my…
