    Hot, for me, is all about personality. You can have all the looks you want but if you're a douche you won't last two seconds around me.

    I don't think a hot guy behaves a certain way but I think the way a guy acts and carries himself can make him hot. If he's confident, funny and charming... that's hot.

    This is an unfair question and it is too tough to generalize. Some "hotties" think they are better than others and act like fools... While other are still nice individuals. This is the same for women and non-hotties. I can't generalize that much because I try to see each person as an individual.

    me too, i treat everyone as an individual. Maybe i was after a general hot guy mentality, i was thinking most wold be seriously confident.

    Seriously confident but some act like being hot makes up for personality and brains (I said some).

    They don't have to be hot to be this way. It depends on the guy and his upbringing and environment.

    OK, here'y my sweeping generalization -- Really hot guys, the ones that chicks throw themselves at all the time, often behave as if it's all about them and they don't need to make an effort to be a good guy. They are super hot, so no need to go out of their way to be kind, have good conversation skills, or a good sense of humor. Again, a sweeping generalization and really not fair to group all hot guys that way, but I've seen this more than a few times.

    I find this with some hot girls.... they seem to have the look down to a T but in terms of making conversation and having a laugh they fail miserably.
    I notice the same thing. Or they have bad tantrums also, sudden mood change or anything

    really? I've had a lot of hot guys be really nice to me. And I've had a lot of not so attractive people (IMO) be really rude and "stupid" I think it just depends on the person a lot of the times.

    Coming from "the fat girl", every hot guy I have met has looked down on my for being overweight. They come off as full of them self and rude. But Like I said, I am basing this off the hot guys I have met. I mostly avoid them these days since I don't need that kind of rejection. And I am not talking about dating or relationships. I was JUST divorced and don't need or want to date. But I COULD use some friends but I find the "hotter" ther person, the more they think they are better than me just because I am fat. You want to talk about stereotypes, what about the people who judge fat people. I have even seen it here on MFP. :frown:

    I would say that it depends on if the guy "Knows" he's hot. If he is confident, that's one thing, but when he KNOWS he's hot he relies on that and tends to become arrogant and mean until some one wipes him a new one!

    I guess that depends on what people think of as hot..if you are talking muscle bound and bleached tips with lip gloss/eyeliner and an arm band tat lol..I do not find that hot at all....If you are talking fit with a slight build ..wavy dark hair.. light eyes...goatee or 3 oclock shadow ..and jeans that fit their *kitten* and don't show their tighty whities ...than ya I'm finding that hot ...and I think most of those guys are pretty down to earth in general ..and don't snub anyone who doesn't deserve it.....(wait was this a P.O.F profile )...F* I'm confused ...oh wait I do have huge boobs though..guess i'm forgiven ....squirrel ..what thread is this ?

    Generally they seem drawn to shade, thirsty, and frequently are sweaty. I've found that they can also be irritable, however, some water usually helps with that as does a bit of food. I'd hypothesize that they behaved in a less than desirable manner because they were dehydrated or uncomfortable because of the extreme temperature.

    If you are wanting to know how a confident person acts I can tell you:
    1. they will not be afraid to say that something is wrong when everyone is for it, but they will also be mindful of the other's feelings while doing so. For instance when a group is bad mouthing someone for looking the way they do or something that is shallow or ridiculous.
    2. The will feel confident enough to say something nice to another person without worrying about what they might think of it good or bad. Just act on your own good intentions and everything will fall in to place.
    3. They will chose stuff that benefits them even in others around them don't approve because they don't need their approval to be happy.
    4. Does not need to put their two sense in everything they come across, and will chose to not explain them selves at times simply because your opinion of them doesn't matter to them at all.
    5. will have generally less drama in their life and will be a more happier person because they chose to do what is rite for them and not to do stuff because of peer pressure.
    6. does care a great deal about their family and close friend happiness and contentedness and will put extra effort in making them happy as well, as long as it doesn't call for going against their morals or principals.

    These are a few qualities I associate with being self confident. I hope this helps :flowerforyou:

    Well I consider my boyfriend "hot" (yet I'm biased but most of my friends agree) first he has a great personality...you can have all the looks in the world but bad personality=UGLY, He's very sweet. Looks wise he's muscular ...he has a bueatiful smile and good body structure.(and tan) He's house and what not is very clean too (to add onto the hygine thing) ... Over all I think as of someone being hot like ... to majority of girls . Their born with it :p. I hope this helps

    You know what I find really HOT? Guys that are genuinely caring, generous people. Guys that are focused on others more than themselves. He could be average in looks but I would be so blinded by his character that I fall crazy, obsessively in love.

    The biggest issue that I take with most prototypically, physically hot is that they know they are hot and therefore have preconceived notions instigated by the cultural emphasis put on having a hot body about "status" within society.

    That being said, I feel, as has been stated; Hotness is in the personality. If you are a jerk there is nothing in the universe that can make you attractive. If you are a good person, you are probably way hotter than you think!

    Lack of a good personality is what makes someone a douche, guy or girl.

    Being physically "hot" is just a bonus to a great personality.

    And on weekends where you're just moping around, a hot bod will due for a quick weekend.

    I don't think this is true. I find myself attractive so I'll just assume I fit in this category. ;)

    I'm a Network Administrator by trade and a nerd at heart. Also, I treat my woman like gold and always vote for the 'little guy'. Don't stereotype so quickly, not all /hot/ guys are the way you describe them. :wink:

    That said, I've met some good looking douche bags.

    You're attitude is hot. I want one like you :wink:
