  • I did this about 6 months ago and last about 2 weeks...lost like 8 pounds. I started back up last week and weighed myself today and I lost 4 pounds. I honestly think this one meal a day situation works, I have never followed through for months but Im hoping my willpower will let me this time. By the way, I ate more than…
  • I started doing this last week, one meal a day. I eat around 5pm daily because I work nights and sleep all day. Not sure if you are still up to this..if you are, Id love to hear about your progress.
  • I think you are fine. I follow someone pretty inspirational on myfitnesspal who only eats one meal a day with no smoothies and he lost 100 pounds in a year. Im sure you will be fine. I just started myself and I lost 4 pounds this week. Good luck!
  • I'm new to it too. I'm only on week 2. I'm too scared to weigh myself
  • With you not being a sedentary person I think its a great idea. Maybe after you have done the shread 2-3 times, graduate to another one of Jillians dvd's. A lot of people do just to change it up. They have ripped in 30 which I think people go to after they are done with the shred.
  • I would, im pretty sure the shred is helping you more than the cardio is. Look up some results online. Its pretty amazing.
  • I agree. I think you are biting off a lot there. Insanity is more intense. If anything....do one video one day, and do the other the next day. The same day seems like a lot. Just my opinion. But i would love to see your results....Stay motivated.
  • I like it. If you are a beginner it can be difficult. I previously did up to day 10, but then i started running again. I wont lie, I didn't pay attention to losing weight but I noticed things got easier for me...push ups, jumping jacks, etc. Even though it's like a 27 minute video it works you out pretty well. I like it…
  • We had a weight loss challenge at work. I am a pretty competitive person so i did very well in the challenge. I never thought i could diet and exercise but when this challenge happened it showed me i was capable and could do it. I was tired of being fat. I have been this way since 4th grade. Tired of being uncomfortable…
  • This is beautiful. I am starting my weight loss journey all over again because i gained 30 pounds of what i had lost. I like to read these to get motivated to know how i will feel once i hit my goal. I like what you said. It was beautiful.
  • I am. I am only about 6 weeks pregnant but trying to not gain too much. I am trying to figure out if it's healthy or even accurate to use this while pregnant. I was trying to find other pregnant members but it's seems like you and I are the only ones. :-)
  • I dont cut out much but I limit myself as to how much I eat them. But one of the biggest thing I may never eat again is a friggin OREO. I had no idea 1 double stuff oreo was 70 calories. I use to eat like 10 of those in one sitting. I love them but I dont have them in the house because they are tempting and NO GOOD for…
  • I have been fat since 3rd grade. But i totally get you. When i work out, sometimes I think it's ok to overeat and then i get to a point where i give up because of those type of mistakes. I will add you. Thanks for the story.
  • I did day 4 today. It is hard but it starts to get easier. Just remember to take it easy when you feel you can't keep going so you can avoid injury. Good luck. I just took a before pic but I did not do measurement or weight. I do not want to weigh myself because the shred helps gain muscle so you will gain weight. I didn't…
  • HOW INSPIRING...AWESOME!
  • Hey. You lost the weight once you will lose it again. This is nothing for you. Please remember the joy you feel after an awesome workout. That stuff will be so small to you. When i am going through something i go for a run and forget about it all. When i am done i realize that stuff is small and life is so much more…

  • I am doing the 30 day Shred too. UGH. I am only on day 3 but I am so sore...but it hurts so good..LOL! Good luck. I am not so much eating clean as just cutting back and making better choices. Trying not to totally cut everything from my life. Dont forget to take a before picture. And remember you will be gaining muscle…
  • Dude. Your stretch marks look non existent now. Did you do something or did they just kind of fade?
  • I am on day 3 of Jillian Michaels and it really is hard but I make it through. It's only 27 minutes long on youtube so im assuming it has to be a little harder for that short period of time. My body does hurt..especially my feet. What keeps me going is seeing people's before and after pics of just doing it for 30 days.…
  • Im kind of happy to hear that because i get nervous eating the calories they provided me. Im glad to know Im supposed to eat all of them.
  • I guess I didn't look at it like a daily eating goal but more like a number. I knew that i needed to eat 1200 or more..I didnt know i needed to eat all of them. WOW. I learned something new.
  • Wait. So when we workout we are supposed to eat all of our calories back? I have 1700 calories a day. I have to try my best to eat most of them? I didn't know that.
  • Your friend may be jealous even if she is a thin person. I hate to say it but I experienced jealousy when a friend of mine decided to start losing weight and we were always the same size. I never spoke about it but to see her transform made me jealous because she had willpower i didn't have. Anyway, your friend is either…
  • I did day 1 of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It was a little difficult but I got through it and i am so proud of myself. I also took a before picture so i can try to see the difference. They say you dont really lose weight but you lose inches. Try it! Its only like 25-27 minutes and you feel awesome afterwards. Good luck!…
  • Im inspired. I am going to do it tonight when i get home. I looked up people's results and it's crazy the difference that 30 days makes.
  • Anyone starting day one? I am gonna do this tonight after work. Doesn't look half bad.
  • I do most of the time. The way it's set up with your calories you will still lose. I guess if you dont use them you will lose quicker. If you do use them, you will still lose. It's just a choice. I dont mind losing slowly.
  • That's awesome. You honestly just made me think that i need to be eating more salads...But awesome! I guess what they mean by lifestyle change.
