I found this link for vegetarian keto - lots of good ideas, if that's your thing. https://ruled.me/comprehensive-guide-vegetarian-ketogenic-diet/. Too restrictive for me.

Hi. I'm in North East Scotland. Here since 2014 but never used the community side before, maybe I should see if I'm missing anything

When I had a compound fracture of the tib and fib after a road traffic accident my orthopaedic surgeon recommended a calcium supplement which also contained vitamin D. Apparently the body takes up the calcium more efficiently when vitamin D levels are not too low and vitamin D also helps with bone regrowth. He said I…

Aberdeen, Scotland. Quite close to Grampian Mountains so easy access to hillwalking and plenty of forest walks and bike trails.

When the bracelet of my Flex broke the same way after around a year I emailed Fitbit with photos of it. I told them I felt sad because I enjoyed using it very much. They sent me a new one free of charge  ETA: a new bracelet that is - not the whole Flex!

I'm in the UK. It just from what people say here generally about 'taking cream in their coffee' in the UK most people would say they take milk in their coffee and tea. I stand corrected though

I'm not sure where the OP is from but my guess is that is a UK/USA difference thing. Most people in the UK have milk in their tea/coffee at home and drink quite a lot of it, so it could be adding 150-200 calories per day. In the USA (and Canada and elsewhere) most people take their coffee black or with cream(er) and don't…

All figures aside, that is substantial rapid weight loss. It cannot be accounted for by your probable TDEE and the amount of food you are eating (which is why you came and asked the question). Your TDEE as worked out by the amount of weight loss isn't probable based on your age, height. weight and activity level. Have you…

I get the same pattern. Weight stays the same give or take the same 1-2 pounds for about 3 weeks. Then on the 4th week I lose 3-4 pounds. I don't get crabby that week but I do get that gnawing hungry feeling even though I'm eating in the same way as every other week. Interestingly the week I lose is usually the one after…

Once a week, before breakfast. Why? Because I found the daily fluctuations made me panic.

Apart from the miracle drops its basically just a crash diet. My favourite parts are "If you don't lose any weight for 2 to 3 days in a row, consider doing an Apple Day where you eat nothing but 6 apples and drink one gallon of water" and this absolute gem (presumably because it's a no fat diet and the oil may, you know,…

Join online and lie about your weight? Buy the books on Amazon or Ebay? Buy the magazines and follow the meal plans.

The nutritional information on the bag is usually given as frozen weight so I go with that.

You are amazing, inspirational and fabulous! Congratulations on all your hard work.

I'm having somewhat the same problem. Losing and gaining the same 3-4 lbs over 3-4 weeks even though I've not changed anything and was losing 1 - 1.5 lbs per week before that. The only things I have come up with are: your food scales are way off the nutritional info on the food you are using is way off - its a fact that it…

If you feel you are losing weight too quickly. and are worried that you are losing more lean tissue because of it, then up your calories. I wouldn't worry too much about the actual numbers on the HRM because the fact is you are averaging 2lb loss per week. Do whatever you are comfortable with.

Once or twice when I've found a workout very challenging but pushed on and finished it I had an overwhelming feeling like I was going to cry. I put it down to being amazed at myself for actually doing it when I never thought that I would. That and endorphins.

I guess I'm lucky in that my family are helping out around the house more so that I can take the time for healthy meal planning and prep and working out. So nothing is standing in my way right now. I have to say though that if I had a magic wand I'd make it so that I'm already at my goal weight, fit and healthy! Then I'd…

In the UK retailers all have to use grams now instead of oz. and liquids are in ml. Most people know their weight in stones and their height in feet and inches (unless they are nurses then they use kg and cm). BUT our road signs and speedometers still use miles and mph??!!

A stone is 14 lbs Imperial System. I suppose it was so that you didn't have to use so many little pieces of metal on scales before modern ones were invented :) much the same as saying a quart or gallon instead of the amount in pints.
