Slimming world help

Hey,
I want to start slimming world- i have some pounds i want to shift and trim up a little. However, slimming world only lets you join if you are overweight- i am normal weight and it wont let me join but it doesnt mean i am happy with how i look. Besides, it looks like it has some good meal ideas etc and i like the idea of following something structured with rewards etc.

I know a few people who by the looks of it weren't overweight at all but were on slimming world and appearing to get really good results. I dont know these people to speak to personally so i can't really ask.

I was wondering if anyone here knows what i can do to join slimming world?

Join online and lie about your weight?
Buy the books on Amazon or Ebay?
Buy the magazines and follow the meal plans.

There is a reason Slimming World only accepts those with an overweight BMI. It is a calorie restrictive diet, best suited to those with a lot of fat to lose. It promotoes fairly rapid weight loss which is unhealthy to those who are already healthy weight.

As you are already a healthy weight, you should only be taking a small deficit from TDEE and aiming to lose only 0.5 lb per week. By looking to 'trim up', do you mean get leaner? More firm? Then ensure you incorporate strength trainning / weight lifting into your regime

There are plenty of Slimming World receipes available online if you wanted to follow some of the eating plan, but ensure your calorie goal is set appropriately.
