  • I'm a repeat offender, too! Now, how to friend you......
  • It's now three weeks later; how are you doing with them?
  • So if I gain 1 lb it will take 2 weeks to burn it off? That means it will take me until Halloween to get to my goal weight if I follow the program 100 %! Groan! That seems so far away.................. =:-O
  • I also have the same problem; oatmeal! Doesn't seem to happen with most other carby foods. Does happen with Cheerios and some other cereals, but nothing is worse that oatmeal! I think that eating it in the am is worse than in the pm. Anyone come up with any solution?
  • Xtreme Wellness has a low carb, whole grain, 71 calorie tortilla that is soft and even my picky kids like them. I get them at Kroger.
  • I just got back on the wagon after being off for several months (gained 6 lbs back). I had been trying to motivate and get back to the diet, but y excuse was that the cat broke the scale, really, she did, it is true (broke off the pointer/arrow thingie a couple months ago. So, yesterday I got a new scale.... and saw that…
  • Feel free to add me, too! I was on the program for a long time, lost most of the weight towards my goal, then the **** hit the fan. I'm not back putting one foot on the wagon but need motivation to get all the way on and stay there. I can use all the support and butt kicking I need. And, welcome!
  • Make yourself go to the gym *one* time and plan a reward for after. It is the chicken and egg thing; low energy from not going to the gym makes you too tired to go to the gym. After that, it should get easier...... btdt!
  • Thanks for posting this, I've been thinking about trying this for a while; I love Greek yogurt but it is very expensive (twice the cost of regular0 and getting more so daily. I Googled and found this article. Also I found a link to how to make your own yogurt in a crock pot (just bought one) which would make it even…
  • I really like the Dreamfields myself, I find the taste and texture to be just like white flour pasta, and my kids prefer it to Barilla Plus. The only "problem" is that, for me and my husband, it gives us a bit of gas so we take some Beano before.
  • I find that the ground turkey BREAST is much less gamy than the regular ground turkey, which has dark meat in it. Other than that, I agree; seasoning!
  • I once made it for my hubby when we were doing Atkins. He was so polite! "Uh, I'm not saying I don't like it but, what is this? I don't think it is potatoes". He hates cauliflower, loves mashed potatoes and damn him he can tell the difference! I liked them fine! I've been thinking of trying a mix of mostly potatoes, some…
  • I like the Ole Xtreme Wellness tortillas, I think that is the name, they have 70 cal, low carb, whole grain and very soft; not like most whole wheat tortillas. They are the big ones, not the tiny ones.

  • I have not tried it (yet) but had heard before that coconut oil is great to cook with, here is some info I copied from; http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/coconut.htm Coconut oil is one of the most stable oils you can buy. It does not turn rancid easily. It does not attack your arteries. In fact, coconut oil was one…
  • The Kashi Go Lean gets me (tooting) too! Can't eat the stuff.
  • I'll join the American side!
  • Fat free plain Greek yogurt with berries (lowest carb fruit) and a bit of sweetener if you need it. You can take frozen berries, thaw in microwave, add yogurt and stir. You can even eat it warm if it is more comforting!
  • Oh, and I forgot; Arugula- it is a great, peppery substitute for lettuce on sandwiches, Mexican dishes, whatever. Also the barbeque pulled chicken- much, much lower fat than the beef or pork. Wine: Panilanco brand Carmenere; a nice rich red, and I'm picky, and only $5. Zafrica savignon blanc is also very good for the same…
  • My must-haves from TJ; Frozen fire-roasted corn, fire roasted 3 pepper mix, TJ's hot sauce, fresh salsa or pico de gaillo (sp?), fat free cottage cheese, Greek yogurt as others mentioned; I've not seen the tzadziki- have to look for that one!!! We are having Mexican tonight. The kids will eat mostly the taco meat, beans…
  • Wow, 13 in 4? That is great- maybe it is the wine that is speeding the weight loss? Yeah, thats the ticket!

  • Don't deprive yourself! I know that, for me, if I tell myself I can't have something because I am dieting then all I think about is the thing I am trying not to have. Do a little extra exercise, save up the calories, have your wine and feel like you are rewarding yourself for having a good day. You will have something to…

  • I'm another left-overs-for-lunch gal. While I am making dinner, I'll cut up a serving of fruit and put it in a container. I make a lot of extra salad, toss it before the dressing is on it and put a bunch in a container for lunch. If there are then left over cooked veggies, they go in with the salad; corn, peas, green…
  • If you miss the "creamy" taste of the creamer and don't like the skim milk, why not try fat-free, unsweetened evaporated milk? Make sure it isn't the condensed milk because that has a ton of sugar (I think I got the terminology right, correct me if I have them backwards). It means opening a can and pouring it into…
  • Great post! I'd like to add one thing that was my issue; working out too hard with heart rate too high (above my target, which might have been set too high for me to begin with) means that you burn glucose (sugar) instead of fat. So you feel very tired and crave carbs after workouts. I dropped step aerobics and other…
  • Hey there! My goals are to get more exercise which will; improve my looks, my mood and my sleep. I figure about 13 lbs is a lucky number to start with.... NOW - before it becomes 30!
