I have kinda had a bad week. I just feel so unmotivated. But at the same time I so badly want to be motivated to do well this week. Any tips?

do you have a pair of jeans or shorts that you can't fit into and want to?? if so hang it up so you can see it every day or write down your current weight on sticky notes and paste them all over the house LOL....im going on a month and haven't "fallen" off yet....this site itself is motivation enough for me to keep going...and knowing that one day i will fit into my size 8 jeans again

I just got back on the wagon after being off for several months (gained 6 lbs back). I had been trying to motivate and get back to the diet, but y excuse was that the cat broke the scale, really, she did, it is true (broke off the pointer/arrow thingie a couple months ago. So, yesterday I got a new scale.... and saw that the damage was not as bad as it could have been. So, that was my motivation and I just need to keep finding new, even stupid/ bizarre motivation; whatever works! Try anything!

My feelings get in the way of my motivation. I'm an emotional eater. Take one meal at a time, one workout at a time, as you feel the way your body responds to the self-discipline, take joy in that. I still slip, had a bad couple of days this week, and I'm in the maintenance stage. I can really get upset with myself. But, it does no good. I have some wonderful MFP people, who keep an eye on my diary, and give me a boost when my spirits slide. You have to be in it for the long haul! Best to you in your efforts.
