Its hard to have too much water. Your body will want to release what it doesn't need. I drink close to a gallon a day and feel great!

Crossfit here. It is intense!!!! I go to crossfit on the days I do not go on a run which is about twice a week. I think anyway you burn calories will help you lose weight. Either way is fine. I prefer to run outdoors rather than on the treadmill. I only use the treadmill if it is the last resort but as another reader mentioned increase the incline to simulate the outdoors.
