I got 3 compliments on my recent weight loss!! Before today, the only other comments i've gotten since joining MFP have been from my boyfriend, and friends that know i have recently changed my habbits. It just feels so gratifying to actually have people take a little notice, and it's nice to know that my hard work and…

Dear co-worker, I know it was you who farted in the elevator. I got on, you got off, and you sheepishly grinned as you left me to deal with it. The next person who came along thought i was the culprit! I'm sure you had a good laugh. It smelled like a perm. That is all.

It doesn't really bother me to have my BF looking at other women..we'll comment to each other if a pretty face walks by..but that's all it is: a pretty face. I know that he's with me, and i know that he loves me with all of his heart, so it doesn't have a negative effect. Now, if there's another woman that is clearly…

Use your frustration with what happened today as motivation for a killer work out!! This way you can eat your exercise calories and feel like you really earned them.

I'm with you GTO, only my cramps were yesterday. I only started following MFP last Monday, and in that one week i lost 3 pounds, according to my scale. So i did the unthinkable, and stepped back on lastnight. I know it's not a good idea to do this during AF's monthly visit, but i was curious to see if there would be a…

I tried this diet only a few months ago.. If you have the willpower to last the week, you will likely drop some weight. The only problem is that it's mostly water weight, and will come back just as quick. This diet is terrible. It's nothing more than putting your body into starvation mode. I was irritable, gassy, and…

What an awesome post. I think these words, (and other similar posts) are such motivation for other people either struggling with having bad weeks, or just having a hard time in general with making changes to thier lifestyles. It's great to hear how well you've done, and only 19 more pounds! Thanks for posting this, and…

Thank you for the advice and info..i've read a few other (older posts) and i think i understand better now. I initially started out MFP trying to limit my calorie intake, not by eating less, but by eating foods with generally fewer calories. What i didn't realize was that i needed those calories to speed up my body's fat…

You know, reading posts like this motivates me. I'm new to this, so hearing stories like yours is very encouraging! Keep it up :)

This is a good question, and one that i've been meaning to ask also. I've only been following this plan for a few days, and so far all of my totals are under par at the end of each day. By the end of each night, especially after working out, i have about 400-500 calories remaining, but am not very hungry. I've also noticed…

I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. It's hard not stepping on though, even if you know it's mostly water weight. *sigh*

Hello! I've just started out on MFP and thought i would say hi! This site is great..i've only been here for a few days, and i love the concept. Like a lot of people, i do better following plans, so this seems to be a good fit for me. Has it worked for all of you? Any advice? I'm really looking forward to getting healthier…

There's no cafeteria where i work, but there is ALWAYS food in the office. Sweets, snacks, you name it. We also do potlucks once a month, (never any healthy food there!), and where i just started out on MFP i'm kind of worried about that. Stay determined and burn off the extra calories. It's hard, but it'll be worth it!…
