  • Hi. My name is Diana. I completely understand. I lost 60 ponds in 2020 and have now gained back 65. I need to get rid of over 100 pounds. I used to hike with my sons, walk 5k’s, and was starting to feel more confident in clothing. But, now I huff and puff doing a flight of stairs. So, I’m starting over…a fresh, brand new…
  • RelCanonical Thanks! This makes it a lot easier to be patient. At least I know it will be a good while before the next size fits, even though this size now fits properly.
  • I hadn't realized that there was a larger gap between larger sizes than smaller sizes. That's good to know! Thanks!
  • I have had more than a few "aha" moments over the decades. However, I think this is the final one. I was tired of feeling like I've worked out when all I did was hold my breath to tie my shoes. I was tired of going up the stairs at work and having the phone have the horrible timing to ring as I enter my office. Nothing…
  • It's nice to see others that understand where I'm coming from, and can also approach the issue with humor. You don't have to be serious, to take something seriously!!!!
  • @ epangili Great article. Thanks for posting the link.
  • My current goal I am aiming to reach is 40 pounds gone ( out of 100 total). That is the amount I lost, and then gained back. Once I hit this point, each pound gone will feel sweeter. I'm still annoyed by having to start all over again, and even though I enjoy each pound gone ( I've gotten rid of 31 so far), it is still in…

  • @ladycopnh1 Congrats on the droopy drawers lol. I agree on the buying new clothes rule. My last straw was when my button on my jeans wore a nice sore hole in my stomach. I had to wear a band-aid for damage control. I refused to buy bigger clothes ( I can't afford to, nor want to). I can now wear those jeans comfortably and…
  • Hi. I sent you a friend request. I weigh 125 pounds more than I used to, and plan on getting rid of at least 100. So far, I'm 28 pounds down. A friend on this long road would be most welcome.
  • To keep me going in this craziness right now ( my husband and I can't work from home, I worry about us and our kids), I've sat down and looked at the positives since I started my weight loss journey. Since there is so much in life I can't control right now, it helps me stay strong and not stress eat by realizing the one…
  • Hi! Love your intro! Frank, honest, totally relatable on every comment, and handled with a sense of humor ( definitely made me chuckle.... especially since one of my first goals is to have my boobs stick out farther than my belly). I need to get rid of 100 pounds. I'm down 25 so far.
  • Hi. My name is Diana. I'm happily married and have two sons ( 21 and 9 years old). I lost about 35 pounds a few years back. Unfortunately, I gained it all back due to having a poor handle on stress eating. So, I've had to start all over again. I'm 25 pounds down so far. Definitely looking for friends on this journey, since…
  • I find that I do better if I avoid foods like oatmeal, cereals, the healthier pancakes, yogurt etc. I just end up hungry earlier. They work great for most people, but not me. Not sure why, but for myself it's a proven pattern Also, I definitely can't do a smoothie or protein shake. ( even though I like them) I need to…
  • For some, virtual races can be worthwhile. I'm trying to get my body moving. I currently work two jobs, one full time and one part time. Both jobs have me nailed to a desk. Therefore, I don't get much exercise. When I do have free time, my mind doesn't say "oooh! Free time....let's exercise and get even more tired!!! So, I…
  • Hi. My name is Diana. I'm 47 years old, married, and have two boys (18 and 7). I need to lose over 100 pounds, and as I'm getting older, it's not getting any easier. I work two jobs, one full time, one part time (both where I am nailed to a desk), so exercise is getting harder and harder to do due to time constraints plus…
  • Hi. I just submitted my request to join. Hopefully, I'm not too late! Looking forward to hearing from you. :)
  • Well...got off my butt. Went for a 2 mile walk with my 4 year old in the "not too bad" cold (36... wind chill 30). It was fun. :)
  • Yeah...I have decided that I will get my eating under control first. Then, next week add in exercising at home (with the exception of doing any Hogwart's challenges that need to be done before then), and then the week after that venturing back to the gym where I will probably pass out trying to do Zumba again. :)
  • ugh. Going in the wrong direction...still. Since the start of this challenge, I have gone from 206 to 209 pounds (BUT, overall up from 194 when I derailed from weight loss completely a few months ago). Time to flip that momentum. Logging, eating below or even at calories, and getting off my butt and going back to the gym…
  • Right now I weigh 209 pounds. Unfortunately, all I have done for the past couple of months is "stress eat" and gain weight. I would like to get back down into Onederland during this challenge.
  • New Year's Resolutions: Long Term Goal for the whole year: 1. Get down to 170 pounds. (starting with 194 by the end of February...my low weight since starting MFP). I am now back up to 209. 2. Exercise 3 to 4 days per week. 3. Stop stress eating. Short Term Goal for the length of this challenge: 1. Get back to Onederland.…
  • Hi. I know I left and never really came back (lots of stress...husband lost job, still hasn't found one) so, I basically stopped logging, caring, etc. Joining the new group for Valentine's Day. Thank you for the invite despite being a lousy group member. :)
  • Well, I've managed to lose 5 out of the 11 pounds I had regained. I even survived the Thanksgiving holiday and lost 3 pounds this week. I figure that what I put in my mouth is one of the few things I can control right now, so I might as well take advantage of that one small thing.
  • No, no alternate route. Unfortunately, my job in one town goes down one main road and picking up my little one from school in our hometown is off another main road. Nope. I'm just going to have to exhibit self control and remind myself that even though dollar menu items are cheap, they are NOT healthy. :)
  • I'm going to be an upside down clown. :)
  • I still would like a Sunday weigh-in day. We could do that every week except the last. Then, just have a final weigh-in on December 31st. That way we can still have an official end weight for 2014.
  • Sorry I've been out of touch lately. I am interested in continuing with the holiday challenge group. My thought is to end it on the last day of the year. Then everyone would have an official ending weight for 2014. :D
  • I (like many people, I would assume) have clothes that do not fit me yet. However, there was one particular shirt that I couldn't wait to wear...not because it was a favorite, or particularly pretty, or I used to be able to wear it. Nope. This shirt had a different meaning. I need to lose about 100 pounds total. I have now…
