I am 5 feet and realistically can do 4-5 lbs in a month if my eating is super clean and on point. Good luck!

I have been on this site for ages and I am excited to post my two year progress picture today!

I log weight training. But I had to add it as a cardio exercise.

Congrats on your weight loss! Check out Amazon and search for 400 lb weight limit. Some equipment options come up. Maybe try a half bosu ball instead of the stability ball? Good luck and congrats again!

I feel your pain. I am 5 feet tall and unless I get vigorous exercise I am lucky to burn around 1575 calories on the average day. It's a slow process. My best results started when I increased my protein to 40% of my diet and started weight training. I think for us shorties that watching calories is pretty important. Feel…

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and breastfed them both. First let me say you are doing awesome! It's so important to keep your calories up so you keep the milk coming. I wasn't really able to shed any pounds until each of my kids were down to nursing only two or three times a day. That's when the hunger subsided. My…

I have the Fitbit zip and I LOVE IT. I wear it everyday clipped under my clothes.

Hoping to revive this old thread. I am on week 6 of the glutes only section of strong curves and I love it! Did anyone finish the program? How did it go? I can tell I am getting stronger and I am sore most days from it. I am already planning to do another 12 week cycle after this one is done.

For me (and I am a type A personality if there ever was one) it would be PLAN PLAN PLAN! Pre log your day or week. Meal plan and prep. And if you are going out to eat plan ahead by looking at the menu online and choosing a healthy option. That way you don't even have to open the menu when you get there and be tempted.…

I do it! Ive lost 26 lbs. Feel free to add me. As some people above said, pre logging is the key. That way you can adjust accordingly if you know you're going to eat certain foods or plan for a treat, you can adjust your meals for the rest of the day around that. For me, I set my protein intake at 40% but I am more…

I just saw this thread and was curious how strong curves is going. I just switched to maintenance and started strong curves glutes only program. I'm on week 3.

I updated my iPhone tonight with ios9 or whatever is the new one and the problem seems to be fixed.

Mine too.

Amazing!

Also sometimes I order off the kids menu when I go since the portions are smaller and its cheaper. They always have healthy options for kids usually with carrots and apples etc.

I live in Orlando and go to Disney world all the time. You'll likely walk between 15000 and 20,000 steps in a day. Especially if you don't take the tram in from the parking lot. A lot of people have put in calorie content for Disney on mfp too. I suggest going to the grocery store and bringing in a small bag of healthy…

I am 5 feet tall and i usually try to eat an average of 1350 per day. It's been sustainable long term and I feel like I have enough food. For me that equals between a half a pound and a pound per week.

I am 5 feet tall and lost just over 20 lbs last year. It took about 5 months and I was eating between 1300 and 1400 calories a day plus wxercising. If you can get a Fitbit or something like that then that would help you calculate how many calories you burn in a day. I barely burn 1600 on a day that I don't exercise. Best…

Thanks guys! Day 3 for me and I like it so far. My butt was burning after the first two workouts.

How were your results?

I just found this group! I'm on day one of the glutes program. If anyone is still doing this please friend me!

I just found this thread. I started the glutes only program today. Did you end up doing it??

I crockpot a few pounds of chicken with a cup or two of water and then I also make brown rice in a big batch and I steam a bag of broccoli or carrots or whatever is on sale. My husband and I eat that for dinner most nights. Also I cook ahead a huge pan of egg whites with some shredded cheese and then just heat it in the…

Agree. Could you make it with water and leave out the fruit and seeds and almond milk? Probably would be 110 -160 calories instead of 200+.

Quest protein bars are great. Almonds too. I sometimes cook up a big batch of egg whites with a little shredded cheese and portion that out into single servings. A banana or Apple with a small Tupperware with peanut butter or almond butter. If you have a shaker bottle you could bring protein powder with you to make a…

I just started weight training again about a month ago! Love to have active friends on here!

Hi there, I agree that 1250 may be too low. I'm 5 feet tall. I could lose about 1 lb/week eating around 1450-1500 calories a day even without working out. I get too hungry if I dropped below 1300. Some inexpensive ideas might be bananas, fiber one bars, grapes, peanuts, oatmeal. Don't be too hard on yourself over the cake.…
