I've noticed my mood drops a bit & I feel a certain way the afternoon & night before a couple of pounds drop--it's like the body begrudges letting go or something. The next morning I feel just fine. Now I'm trying to maintain & even get a little muscle, but you know, the scale fluctuates.

You can get an inexpensive glucose meter & test strips at Wal-Mart. I was able to get blood sugar down to normal by diet & exercise--can't do cardio due to spine problems, but have been able to do some weight lifting & it's working. You can do it, try not to stress. Sounds delicious!! I like fresh strawberries dipped in erythritol (a sugar alcohol that looks & tastes like sugar & isn't too rough on the digestive system) --current favorite. Guylian no sugar added Belgium Milk Chocolate is really good--it's heavenly-- but it's hard to eat just one serving.

This is really useful advice, thanks so much for posting (even though I 'm not the OP)! I've managed to find about 6 different lifting exercises than can be done that don't impact my spine problem in a bad way, but that book sounds perfect.

Just a couple of thoughts to add. Are you drinking enough water? According to a doctor I used to go to, it takes 22 ounces of water to process (burn off) 1 lb of fat.
