We spend $150 per week on just groceries for 2 adults. We buy the majority of our food at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, but do buy some bulk items at BJ's Wholesale. We rarely eat out so the $150 does include some "treats" for weekend meals -- like salmon and organic pizza :-)

I might be burning a lot more calories than I realize and need to listen to my body and eat more! I take 1/2 of what my treadmill says as what I burn. I was looking at the Polar FT4 and the Polar FT40 because I definitely need a HRM. That's too bad about your knee...do you have access to an elliptical?

I always load up on protein after a workout but I don't know what I'm doing wrong to feel so hungry on days I exercise!

It happens every that I exercise!!! I don't want to go to bed hungry so I do eat something, but it seems like it is counterproductive if I eat back all my exercise calories and more. Bah.

One warning regarding the shirataki noodles. They come in a bag in water (40 calories in the whole bag). The liquid they are in stinks so you have to rinse them off before cooking them.
