Make sure that before you workout you are rolling and stretching your hip flexors!! Invest in a foam roller and make sure you are nice and loose before you do any kind of workout. I have knee trouble as well and rolling and stretching is the difference between pain and no pain when I'm working out.

Your nutrition can effect your workouts too, if you aren't getting enough carbs, protein, etc. Having that well balanced diet can make a tremendous difference when it comes to working out. I love getting my workouts in but if my food has been off that day my workouts tend to suck.

I started working with a trainer and losing weight about 5 months ago. The first 2 or 3 months I would lose around 2 lbs a week. For the last month or so I'll lose 4 or 5 lbs in one week and then 1 lb the next week and then back to 4 or 5 and so on... Sometimes I don't lose at all but then make up for it by losing a lot…

That's insane and I love it! You are my hero :)

You won't gain, this is how I've lost almost 40 lbs in the past 3 months! I split my calories into 5-6 meals that are around 300 calories each. When your body is consistently getting nutrition throughout the day it will instantly burn whatever you're eating!! You still have to eat healthy and exercise but eating more small…

I've been shopping at Goodwill - You have to dig a bit but I've found some good pants and tops for around 3 or 4 dollars each! That way you're not spending a lot but at least have SOME clothes that fit :)

Eating my food!!! I buy healthy low calorie food, my roommate eats it and then replaces it with the high calorie stuff!!! UGH.....
-
LOL That's great... I'm hanging onto that one....

Just last night I had this conversation with my trainer. My pants are starting to creep weirdly because they're not as tight on my butt as they used to be! He brought up spot reducing and how it is unfortunatley, a myth. I seem to be losing everywhere except where I want to!! At least its my butt now and not my boobs…

I was sick a couple of weeks ago and actually felt better while I was working out. I was EXHAUSTED afterwards (probably from my body fighting infection and working hard at the same time) but still, I felt better. I would say that as long as you feel alright working out then go for it! Just try to pay attention to your body…

I just recently had a cold and still went to my training sessions. The sessions actually helped a lot in clearing out some congestion and making me feel better. However, I was EXHAUSTED and crashed after my session. So it worked both ways I guess :D

The interview was FLAWLESS! My best interview to date so I'll be REALLY upset if I dont get the job. I'll find out Tuesday or Thursday, but if they have a few "favorite applicants" they may ask for a second interview - holding my breathe until then! :indifferent:

Welcome to the team Janny! :)

My job interview is tomorrow morning at 8 am! After that I can calm down and start focusing more on the health aspect of life, haha. Definitely trying to control what I can for now while still focusing on getting this job!!! I could really use the ego boost (career wise anyway)
-
So I feel like I'm letting my whole team down and I'm so sorry! I went over my calories on Monday and I didn't get a chance to workout yesterday! I'm not normally like this but between overtime at my current job, and an interview for a new job tomorrow morning I haven't had time to workout! I am SO SORRY I promise to do…

All of this information is really helpful, thanks so much guys! I'm 26 and I workout ALMOST everyday. Water is sometimes an issue so I should probably make that goal a priority! Not sure on the genetic end, most of my family is overweight and none of them have "transformed" like I plan to. Guess I'll have to wait and see!…

I lost my mother three years ago so I totally know what you're going through. My first advice is to find another counselor ASAP! As far as staying healthy and things like that, I probably cant be much help because it is INCREDIBLY difficult. The only thing I can really suggest is to surround yourself with healthy food, so…
