Thanks for the advice guys, and that picture isn’t great, I do have a bit of muscle already so if I did do a cut like most of you suggest, I wouldn’t look too skinny would I? (I’ll try post another pic)
-
Okay thank you, so should I work out while eating at a maintenance or a deficit?

I don’t understand what you mean? The whole point in Bulking is so I don’t look lean..?
-
Oops, my apologies again! lol
-
My apologies I read it wrong, thanks for your help man
-
What do you mean? If I weight 168 pounds My lean body mass will be around 130, so isn’t 150 grams of protein more than enough?
-
I weigh 168 lbs my lbs is probably around 130 lbs, I’m 5 ft 11 and I’m cutting so I’m currently having 2000 calories per day and aiming for 150 grams of protein, (which should be enough, right?) I’m able to get around 90 grams of protein easily enough with food
-
140g of protein seems a bit steep for my weight, I’ve read multiple articles saying you could eat .6g of protein for every pound you weigh and it’ll be just as good as eating 1g of protein per lbs

Thanks for all the replies guys, and I am hitting most of my macros, sometimes going over fat a little though, and currently eating at a 300 calories deficit, and my workouts are 3 full body 30 minute workouts per week, that involve bicep curls, triceps lifts, press ups, squats, lunges and planks

Thanks DragonShow

The new picture is the one of me wearing jeans^ im not sure if it's uploaded yet since I just did it 5 mins ago.. lol
-
That's exactly what you should do, you should rest muscles the day after working out
-
If you look at my pics, I took the first 2 a few months ago and that new pic last week, I've been eating at a deficit and doing resistance training, I don't lift weights, what I do is push ups, squats, planks, lunges and bicep curls (with a resistance band) and in my opinion I think it's working pretty good, I don't live…
-
Ok thanks, but what would working out but eating at a maintenance do? Would it turn fat to muscle?
-
It's gotta be Eye of the tiger
-
Oh ok, thanks everyone^^ I've not been focusing on counting carbs/fat, I'm just really focusing on calories and protein and it seems to be working ok so far
-
I must be one of the only teenagers that doesn't drink lol
-
I don't count calories anymore, I just do a rough estimate to be honest, same with protein intake, and it's been working, if you look at my pictures from a few months ago and look at my most recent pic :)
-
My hip bones feel like they really stick out, I don't think there's anything I can do about that though :/
-
Thank you! And I looked at your pics as well, you've most certainly done well ;)
-
Thank you! Before I started fitness and eating better I really thought it would be a lot harder to get in shape, it's not like I eat vegetables everyday etc, I still have a takeaway pizza each week and now and again eat snacks like ice cream etc.. And the training I do is just really squats/push ups/bicep curls and planks…
-
Back then I must of been eating around 40g of protein, now I'm eating at least 100 grams daily..
-
The last few months I lost about 2 stone by just eating less, I wasn't counting calories or meeting macros, and I have lost weight but still have a lot of body fat that I want to lose, which is why I need to focus on meeting protein to keep my muscles..
-
Ok thanks guys, one more question, does it matter if I go a little over on protein? Maybe 5-10g?
-
Bump
-
Yes it will because if I don't eat enough protein I'll lose muscle mass instead of body fat..

Ok thanks
