Don't get down on yourself. The first few steps are the hardest. I hated that I had gained 12 pounds plus the 10 I had already wanted to lose. It took me a long time to start working on it.

I have an early August first fitting as well. My dress is form fitting and I am bottom heavy so I am trying to work out the lower body a lot. Since it is strapless I've been toning my arms. It can take 8-6 months to get a dress in from the designer. If you rush your dress you'll have to pay extra or you can buy off the rack. I picked mine out in December. It came in April/May.

I have lost 13 lbs. as of today. I have 9 lbs to go and with 3 months left until the wedding I am super motivated :) My fitting is in August and I can't wait to see how I am going to look in the dress with a slimmer body.

I have about 20 lbs to lose by my wedding in September but more than that I'd like to change my lifestyle and keep the weight off. I am on everyday to log my food/exercise. :)

I try to add foods into my diet that are proven to support weight loss. I don't take pills. It seems like a new pill is all the rage and then you find out a year later it causes some health problem. Add foods to your diet like sunflower seeds, avocados, foods high in fiber, etc. There was a good article on yahoo yesterday…
