there is another thread real close to this... sorry* I didn't see it when I started, but I am wondering more specificly if I should up my caloires back or stick it out and let my body adjust. I am set to eat 1350 calories a day- and that is not too bad.....

I posted on a topic so similar this morning- but for me the pains have only started since I readjusted my calories and lowered them. I actually really enjoy counting calories, and I find that it helps me feel less guilty, because if I grab a treat it is accounted for, and so I obsess a little less over the food. It might be…

Okay, so I am fairly new to the boards, but after the first week (dropped 4 lbs- but please realize, I had major bloating from a 2 week vacation, so I think some of that was was just excess water gain) I was noticing when I checked out at the end of the day the projected weighht loss was a lot slower than I wanted it to…

It is nice to not worry once in a while, that is for sure! At the same time you can pick smarter choices when it's available, and 'save' your splurges for the things you really love..... for me that would be nachos and brownies  But definitely allow yourself to be more relaxed. Enjoy yourself- and remember , a walk…

Don't forget the massages and pedicures and saunas and hot tubs after a long day of working out, hiking, stretching.... etc....... sign me up

It may be a little late now, but one year I got my mom a "tattoed steel" bracelet with all of the kids names and little stick figure symbol on it. She cried when she opened it. ( from a familyof 12 kids- so it was a lot to get all the add-ons!) my sisters and I make her scrapbook pages, she is into that, and I am making…

I thought it was you ! ( but I suddenly couldn't find the thread to be sure! I love it! This thread is making me laugh ~ I love how evil our thoughts are! laughter is the best medicine for the stupidity that surrounds us!

Well- my hubby got snipped first and then I had a Uterian Ablation due to such heavy and horrible mestrual cycles. For him- a day or two on the couch and he was fine- a little tender to running or jumping for a week or so, but no big deal. In office for him was about 45 minutes.... For mine, I had to be completely out, go…

I have this, definitely, to a degree. And I LOVE being dolled up. I have always loved make-up and cute clothes (hello Shoes!) and looking great! But I just love the process and never felt I did it for others however, I am always comapring myself and thinking.... I am sure my butt is bigger than hers.... then I feel…

I switched from pill to pill, gaining weight, feeling depressed- even fighting nasuea (that is just too much). My doctor finaly put me on Yasmine, which for me, caused headaches so intense I went to bed in tears. After baby #3 my husband took a little visit to the Dr. the scalpel and cauterizer did the rest ..... so yes,…

Dear Subway Footlong- I have missed you so much ever since the night you made me violently ill, but you know, once you see something come back up it just isn't the same going down..... we can no longer be together. I was probably already sick on that day, but the effects are still the same. I wanted you to know, however,…

well hon if I can look like you (I assume that is your photo!) I would be thrilled! Hot mama:bigsmile: I love that we are on the same page ladies- yes, we know it is a bit harder, but YES it is worth it. These posts really have brought me comfort. Strength in numbers..... I am fightin it!

I'm so glad I am not the only one! I thought I was losing it......:noway:

I swear to you it is like my body has changed in the past 3 years- since I hit 35. If I skip a few days of working out it is like starting over- I used to skip 2 weeks and just jump back in! A two week vacation literally put on 8 lbs! That includes walking in theme parks all day- *grumble* and I am just finding overall…

I had a client tell me a story about one of her friends... as she was telling it she described her friend by saying... "she's thin, like you." I seriously think that made my day. I still dwell on it, because the scale is not where I want it to be, but it reminds me that others may still percieve me at a comfortable weight,…

I think most people feel that when they exercise it stimulates them and so it can make it difficult to fall asleep. I, on the other hand, find when I work out in the morning I get tired and crash later in the day- which doesn't always fit into my schedule, so I prefer evening workouts also. I have to add this one thing- I…

Banks- I did go and read those links, and I appreciate the time you took ingiving all of that information. The thing that really struck me was the concept of the body going into survival mode, and hanging on to the fat, when we eat way under our calories. That explains for me why, on the days I do my 'power pump' classes…

Oh my heck- lots of GREAT information- before bed I am going to read through those linked posts, too. Thanks so much- I am ready for bed, and because I got on the elliptical it says I now have 300 more calories- I am not that hungry, but could use a yogurt or something, so I will be eating 100 of those calories, but not…

I had someone remind me that to keep your body burning you need to eat all of the calories. Has anyone got any advice on this? Does this mean if I have 100 calories at night I should grab another snack? And my biggest question is, when you work out are you supposed to eat extra because your calories allotment goes up? I…

YOu know- some days if I am under calories I just think... "good for me" , but maybe that is wrong... tihs is good advice, and I am going to the diet boards to check out more.

 that is very funny...... and very good advice!
