  • I've been doing IF for a few weeks now and definitely need to go low carb. Inching my way towards keto. Add me! I'm 35, 5'7 and my goal is to lose 40 pounds by my birthday in November.
  • I've had 4 c sections and I'm currently working on weight loss effort #2. After my first two pregnancies, I lost 60# and had a pooch. Eating clean and strength training helped reduce it dramatically. My boobs deflated though, which I hated. But at least I felt good in a bikini...
  • When I eat, I think about how I feel. I know that certain foods will leave me feeling sluggish or bloated. When I eat fruits, veggies, lean proteins, complex carbs, etc, I get the energy I need to chase after my four kiddos. The youngest two are 2 years old and 6 months old, so I need all the energy I can get!
  • I gained back all but 9 pounds of my accumulated baby weight lol. I had a tubal after #4 also. My oldest is 9 years old. I'm hoping to lose this weight and never find it again!
  • Hi, I've had 4 C-sections. The first was emergency, and the last 3 were planned. I lost 60 pounds after Baby #2. I started out with a flap that turned into a pooch. I focused on strength training and eating clean (sugar free), and the pooch nearly disappeared. Eating sugar free was hard for me to maintain, so the pooch…
  • Hi! I am nursing a 5 month old. My goals are to clean up my diet and start working out. I plan to use Fitness Blender videos 3-4 times a week, and to walk as much as possible.
  • Hi everyone! I'm back after almost 2 years away! Baby #4 is almost 5 months old, and still nursing. Looking for friends to share support! I worked full time with #1-3, and am a relatively new SAHM. My first goal is to clean up my diet and start an exercise regimen. My appetite is voracious (which it always is while…

  • You can search "Breastfeeding" when adding your food and it will give you a deficit anywhere between 200-500 calories. If you are tracking macronutrients closely, I am not sure if it accounts properly for macros.

  • What really worked for me was doing 3 Fitness Blender workouts a week, along with hilly walks with the baby in the stroller or Moby wrap. Right now I'm doing T25, but after that I want to go back to Fitness Blender.
  • This could have been me. I started my fitness journey when my 2nd child was nearly two years old. I was in a job I hated and I was constantly frazzled. I have gained and lost before so I know how to lose weight lol. It is a matter of making a decision to change your lifestyle. It is going to feel selfish to make time for…
  • Add me! I had my 3rd baby in May, by C-section (all 3 were C-sections, in fact). He's 4 months old. I'm still breastfeeding, and now working full time. I gained almost 30 pounds with him. I started exercising at 6 weeks post partum, then fell off when I returned to work at 3 months pp. I started T25 this past Monday. I…
  • This. If I'm not logging, I find that I maintain most easily by eating consistently, while not exactly the same foods each day. Portion control helps, as well as eating treats in small containers. I.e. I eat ice cream in a small 6 oz ramekin. You can't really fit much more than a half cup serving in a teeny tiny bowl lol.
  • I haven't run since the first Trimester...
  • Yep! My son is 11 weeks old. I gained 26 pounds during my pregnancy, and have lost 24 since birth. However, I had gained 20 pounds right before getting pregnant, not to mention that I had never reached my original goal weight. So.. I'm in to lose about 45-50 pounds. I'm working out 5 days a week with Fitness Blender videos…
  • Exactly. Too much math. How much do macros even matter if you are still focused on losing scale weight, so long as you are in a deficit? ETA: I want to lose 50 pounds. I would love for it all to be fat but.... I set my macros to 40/30/30, just for the hell of it. But my focus is keeping a calorie deficit to drop those…
  • I'm resurrecting this topic for an update. I joined this group in early 2013. I reset and gained 20 pounds. Then, I got pregnant with child #3 lol. I am now 11 weeks postpartum, and am 2 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I have lost 24 pounds since giving birth. I am currently eating 2200 calories a day. I set MFP to…
  • Yes it's totally possible. I maintained for a couple of years by eating roughly the same amount and types of foods and getting the same amount of exercise each week. No tracking. As soon as I changed my eating (i.e. had treats and alcohol more often, or during the holidays) or exercise habits, my weight changed. My husband…
  • In for a better than pre-baby body. With my 2nd child, I waited to get in shape until he was 2. My 3rd is 10 weeks old and I've been working out for 3 weeks now. I'm determined. All 3 births were c sections.
  • Basically this, plus: I lost 60 pounds in less than a year. From 224 to 161 I tracked my calories. I started with portion control and the 30 Day Shred, alternating with low impact cardio. Whenever I plateaued, I intensified my workout routine. You have to change things up sometimes. For me this happened about every 20…
  • THIS. If you're still eating fat-free, low fat, etc, this is the easiest way to add calories. You will be fine. Congratulations on reaching your goal. Have you set your MFP calories to maintenance?
  • I have been a size 10 at 140 pounds and at 170 pounds, both at a height of 5'7". The difference between the two was my body fat percentage. I did mostly cardio and ate 1200 calories a day to get to 140. I did some strength training and ate at a modest deficit at 170. I lost scale weight slower but dropped sizes faster. The…
  • I would set it for 1 lb a week MAX. It took me about 4 months to lose 20 pounds, with a consistent exercise regimen and calorie deficit.
  • I wish MFP had a pregnant option too! I'm 17 weeks pregnant with #3. I just set my activity level to lightly active, and my calorie goal to maintenance at my current weight. So far I have lost and gained 5 pounds, putting me at my starting weight lol. I have never gained a lot of weight with my pregnancies, but then I'm…
  • Hey Hollie, how are you feeling? I was wondering if you ever had any MS. Mine kicked in around 7 weeks.
  • Hi ladies :) I am 31 years old, and due with number 3 around May 14th. My daughter is 6 and my son is 5. This pregnancy was pre-meditated lol. I am SO glad to be done with the 1st tri, though I wasn't nearly as sick as I was with my first two. I'm just glad to have my energy back. My husband and I are not finding out the…
  • I was recently diagnosed with depression, which I realize I have struggled with my entire life. Doesn't mean I can't accomplish great things. Just means that every once in a while, I will become completely and inexplicably overwhelmed, and that daily tasks become a struggle. A few years ago I changed my diet and began…
  • I tend to binge when my feelings are backed up and I haven't expressed anything. I decided to start blogging more. And try not to isolate myself from friends. Yesterday I had a pretty big binge, first one in a few weeks.
  • I feel exactly like this! We have a huge mirror next to our bed. My husband likes to jiggle my tummy, and I always tell him not too. I catch a glimpse of my cellulite-y thighs and I am too through! Here's what I do to feel better: 1) Focus on what YOU like about your body. I have a nice rack and a big juicy bottom lol. I…
