Originally named mine Atlas, but Colonel Speedy Warlock is too good to pass up.

Sorry to hear. It was slippery out there with all of the rain. I think there were around 16 crashes reported...one girl ended up going over the railing on the last big descent and had to be taken to the hospital. Hope you bounce back quickly.

Finished in 2:50:27. Goal was 2:54:00. I got hit about mile 9 with the torrential downpour that lasted about 10 minutes. Dropped my chain twice. First time on the first big hill, second time on the returning big hill. I thought the event was well organized. I definitely didn't experience a "lonely" feeling. Of course, I…

I have an inspiration dinner with my LLS team, otherwise I would be up for it. We actually ate there last night...good place. Good luck tomorrow.

Good luck. I'll be one of the guys wearing a purple tri suit.

This is great advice. Also - assuming your race is open water - make sure to get some open water training time in. Open water swimming is much much different. If you have some buddies who are willing, it also helps to have them swim along with you and pull/kick/bump you as you swim so you can get used to that as well. I've…

Only really familiar with the interpretation from an employment perspective, and really only in the 6th circuit court.

I don't think would ever consciously admit to being one.

Under US law...yes. What reasonable accommodation would you like to have?

As of January 1, 2009, everything is a disability. Everything. And don't be so sure that can prove undue burden...they are a large company, not a mom-and-pop shop. They have a much higher ceiling.

It's a disability under the ADA(AA) which is what she is suing under. The ADA extends to places of public accommodations, such as restaurants, and requires that accommodations be made. The question is, is having a gluten-free option available and charging for it reasonable. I can see both sides to the argument, and the…

Let's break it down so you can understand better then: "(1) Disability The term “disability” means, with respect to an individual— (A) a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities of such individual; (B) a record of such an impairment; or (C) being regarded as having such an…

You feel thirstier because of the sodium...that doesn't mean you aren't hydrated. It's pretty basic science - which happens to be greater than anecdotes, by the way. You don't sweat out plain water, so you need to replace those lost electrolytes for endurance events, else you will cramp or worse. Isotonic solutions are…

Hard to tell without your weight/speed/distance/power/etc. So, absent salient information, I'm going to go with....bunnies.

I just eat it raw with a little soy sauce and some wasabi. Throw in some rice if you want.

Guess I should make sure not to consume food during a workout either. That would be a travesty.

Can't really help with the cold weather stuff...it might get down to 25-30F at the worst in TN, so I'm usually good with a base layer, gloves and a hat...shoe covers when I'm on the bike. Started using Trainer Road about 2 weeks ago to supplement the group training that I do on Saturdays. Loving it so far (doing Low Volume…

<- Noob Triathlete as well. Started this year after seeing my 55 year old father kick butt in a Sprint and Oly distance. Complete my first sprint on 9/6 and my first Oly on 10/12. Planning on doing Ironman 70.3 Augusta next year and Ironman Chattanooga in 2016.

Yeah. If you want the net calories burned walking you're best to use real math like below: (((s * 0.44704) * 0.1) + ((s * 0.44704) * 1.8) * f +3.5) * (w * 0.453592) * d * 0.021 = net Calories burned Where: s = speed in miles per hours f = fractional grade w = weight in lbs d = distance in miles Or you could use simple math…

Because after swimming and biking, it's the only thing left I have to do to get to the free beer and food. I like free beer and food.

No, no you can not. 100% authoritatively, no.
