Ah poo. I'll just post the pic. 9.5 wks post op today and feeling better with no bowling ball on my front. I'm 4 years out from vsg surgery and down nearly 150 lbs.

I had panniculectomy surgery in July 2019. It was a rough recovery but well worth it. Ladies can pm me for a photo of before and after. They removed a 23 lb apron.

Do these pants make my butt look ... ...amazing???

I have done an analysis of this over the past year. Yes. I was curious. I find that it consistently places me 16 lbs above what I actually weigh at any point. So, I can look at it and then add that amount in and have it be fairly accurate.

I have gained so much confidence since I really learned how to swim. I am even thinking of taking up Karate, which is another step in my own personal development.

BTW, on the times when I have nailed the breathing, it has been AMAZING!

I forgot that another part of my decision was that I was told I would probably lose a foot or so of large intestine due to diverticulitis which was rampant in me, before I had my WLS. So I chose VSG because I didn't want to lose both large AND small intestine. But, I haven't had any more diverticular episodes since my VSG…

I stick to an hour, too. Half walk, half swim. Mentally and physically, it's enough for me.

I just saw this today and I'm going to join up to! We have 12 week old German Shepherd puppy and I'm up in the night with her.

I am going to post something about my decision that's probably going to sound trite to some: I prayed a lot about which surgery to have and I just did not have a feeling of peace about gastric bypass. It turned out after my surgery that they had found a tumor in my stomach which was removed during the surgery. I didn't…

I LOVE seeing loose skin. Am I nutz? I've been fat for so long. Seeing the absence of fat makes my day.

I am 11 mos out. I like egg beaters, ostrim protein snacks, egg protein powder and unsweetened cashew milk.

I have some good core foods that I like: 1. Chicken soup: cook deboned chicken, peas, carrots, broth in a crock pot. No noodles. I freeze 5 tupperware containers and keep out 1 in the fridge and have it available all the time. 2. Boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce. 3. Chocolate Egg white protein powder mixed with 25…

I would encourage you to take measurements now and write them down. Then do that once a month. it is a good way to get a better picture of how you are doing. Neck, bust, waist, hips, thigh, calf and bicep are good to take.

I think it is important to take measurements once a month, in addition to weighing in. A gallon of water weighs nine pounds. Food has weight to it. You might just be seeing a change in your fluid balance and what's in your colon. I wouldn't sweat it. Just keep eating right, logging and working out. When I started running…

I think that's true. I am striving not to become injured. That is tops for me. I might be going slower than I need to, I keep reminding myself to rest and not to push it.

I just finished week two of the C25k program. I am feeling so STRONG! Man, I love this! Also, bought MEDIUMS at Victoria's Secret. I got the larges and had to take them back for mediums.

Thanks Nilklynn! I have a hard time looking at those early photos. Man, I could hardly stand upright.

Smile!

Mine: 1. I don't like "imaginary" math, but I am good with accounting. 2. I can't stand the SpongeBob theme song. 3. I can smell bad breath from a room away.

Twinkling eyes. :)

Yesterday was the start of my last week in my fifth month post op (or 25 weeks, LOL). I took some photos and measurements because the scale was messing with me. I am ok with my progress. It's still a long way until I am done and it frustrates me not to be able to tell my body where to lose it from, but hey, it's ok. Better…

Welcome! I had VSG surgery back in February of this year. This time last year I was 280, now I am about 203. It's not simple and it's not for everyone, but the sleeve has quite literally saved my life and I am not just talking about fat.

WOW!
