  • Only you know if you need a trainer or not, I pay £150 for 10 45 min sessions and have been doing so for 5 months, I have had a respectable amount of weight and inch loss and feel like a completely different person and I intend to use her for the whole of my weight loss journey. a 30 min workout is short but if you…
  • I have been to Florida from the UK for 2 weeks, 1 st day back I went straight to the gym and I had gained <1kg. Felt awesome to know that I can go away and control my eating.
  • 5'3" 240lbs. I net 1600-1800 calories and I work out 6 times per week. 3 x Personal Trainer 2 x Body Pump 1 x Body Combat. Weight Loss very slow only 10kg in 14weeks but inch loss good so cant complain.
  • Wow, massive difference. Keep up the fantastic work xx
  • I have at least 100lbs to lose and in 8 weeks I lost 8lbs. I was training 4 times per week and sticking to my MFP guidelines. In that time I lost 5 inches from my waist and 5 inches from my hips. I was definatley not complaining. I would suggest eating as close as you can to your calories for the day including 1/2 back of…
  • I take 1 - 2 days off per week and feel guilty as sin when I do, I have only just found my love of working out and at 265lbs when I started 11 weeks ago I would never have believed that I would ever say that lol. I haven't been to the gym today but I have been for a short walk. I find that on my day offs I eat more. Oh…
  • I was so scared of the rower and 8 weeks ago I tried my first 200metres and I got tightenings across my chest and so breathless I thought I was having an asthma attack. 8 weeks later, it's my favourite cardio in the gym, I row 500m followed by kettlebell swings for up to 5 sets, depending how I feel on the day, but I way…
  • I have over 100lbs to lose also, I have a huge bust and have always been concious of it, I have been training for 10 weeks with a PT and 4 weeks ago I ran for the first time, just short intervals but I felt so empowered, like I could do anything. No one even blinked in my direction. It is part of my daily regime now, I…

  • I normally do a 500m row straight into 10 swing for 3 - 5 sets, or sometime just 50 reps straight depending on how I'm training on the day.
  • That's great, I am in deficit every day by 3-400 cals. So I could continue to increase the weight as I progress to give me a harder workout without bulking. I think my Dad thinks my spare tyre will turn into pure muscle lol.
  • brilliant job, the toning on your tummy is amazing, I hope I can get results like you, although my tummy is waaayyy bigger.
  • Inspirational, I would love to do some form of competion but I'm just starting out on my fitness journey, reading your story has made me realise that in 12 months maybe it could be me! thank you
  • I always worry about over estimating so I count it as aerobics low impact and it works out for me around 500cals (250lbs). Although I sweat absolute buckets in the class.
  • I see a Personal Trainer 3 times per week, and it is the best money I have ever spent, I have been seeing her for 8 weeks and have made dramatic inch loss differences. I was 260lbs and whilst I haven't lost a lot of weight in that time I have lost inches. I have never used exercise as a weight loss tool before and have…
  • That you can drop a dress size after loosing 5lbs when you incorporate exercise and not just diet. That to succeed I need to focus on my needs and not everyone elses. That I can do things that I never thought I would ever be capable of. That having achy muscles gives me great satisfaction. That time and perseverance is the…

  • thank you snazzy, I am really seeing the results but I think that I am just so conditioned to measure success with the number on the scale.
  • I am only 8 weeks into my exercise regime, I see a PT 3 times per week and do a body combat and a body pump class also, I am really into it and started to go everyday but I was starting to get headaches so my trainer says cut back a little and rest, so I'm 5 days out of 7 and really seeing the results on the tape measure.
  • In my experience the surgery is not the route to go down, I had a gastric bypass 4 yrs ago, lost a minimal amount of weight and then joined weight watchers to help monitor what I ate, 4 yrs later i have gained back 80% of what I lost. I have now started a fitness plan and see a pt 3 times a week and although I'm only 2…
  • my trainer says that a lb of muscle takes less space that a lb of fat and that is why there is not any dramatic weight loss but good inch loss, I just can't get my head round the figure on the scales, we only weigh fortnightly and I'm fine with that, I think I need to browse the boards some more and re educate myself lol.
  • I like the weekly report my fitbit gives me each week.
  • Hi there, I have the same start weight and height as you, I hope to look as good as you do in 6 months. It's a true inspiration when you see someone with the same body shape because you get a true idea of where you too could be if you put the hard work in. Keep going gorgeous
