My RE put me on Clomid and Metformin when I was around 300 lbs. It didn't work for me, so I had ovarian drilling and then started Femara. I had a chemical pregnancy my 1st cycle and got pregnant my 2nd cycle. I'm sure it depends on the doctor though.

Thanks ladies! Femara, Ovidrel trigger and booster and timed intercourse! Hope this thing is super sticky! So happy! :) miranda_mom - Thanks for the invite!

It's still positive! Woot!

So...I've been POAS crazy since my booster shot! The line got lighter till it was almost gone and then started to get darker. Today is the day the nurse at my RE's office told me I could test and I got a BFP on an IC, FRER and a CB Digi (yes I did 3 tests because I'm insane!) I'm not sure if I fully trust it yet though.…

Welcome to the group! I almost never have a cycle on my own even on Metformin. It's pretty common among us PCOS gals. Maybe your body is just trying to reset everything after being on BC. Hopefully that's the case! As far as Metformin side effects go, I've heard some people do have major issues with gastrointestinal…

Nothing yet. I have to wait an extra 5 days to test because of the booster shot! Longest "2 week wait" ever! I'll be sure to update when I test though!

Just Google TTC Acronyms. You should be able to find a list of all the crazy acronyms that way. I know it took me forever to learn most of them, and I still have to look one up now and then!

Did my Ovidrel booster tonight. Think sticky thoughts, folks!

They had to bump me up to 7.5mg of Femara to get me to develop follicles. Just went in for my follicle check on Monday and had an 18. My RE had me do a trigger shot last night, so fingers crossed! powellfam2006, the ovarian drilling has helped me respond to the meds (or at least that's what my RE says.) It could just be…

Wow! Ten years is a long time. Are you taking anything now? The Femara is definitely easier on me than the Clomid was. I had so many side effects on Clomid. The hot flashes were the worst! I've only had a headache on Femara. I took my last dose this morning. So now I just have to wait for my follicle check!

My hubby and I are in the same boat. We've not told anyone either except for a few close friends. My parents have been nagging us for a grandchild from the moment we got married 8 years ago. I finally had to have a talk with my mom basically to tell her to shut up. That was before we started this whole infertility journey.…

HI! I just told my OB/GYN that I had some of the symptoms associated with PCOS and that my husband and I wanted to start a family soon. He did PCOS panel of bloodwork for me. That might be something to ask about if you haven't done it already.

You can add me! I'm near Dayton, OH.

My friend and I just started the Aqua Zumba classes at our local YMCA. They're fun, but I feel like I'm not working as hard as I am in regular Zumba. Maybe it's just that part of my body weight is supported my water? I don't know, but it is super fun and a nice change from my normal workout.

I haven't had a cycle since I stopped taking my BC in April and my doc prescribed the same thing for me. I am kind of nervous about taking it after reading the ridiculously long list of side effects, but hope it jump starts my system as well.

I do one very similar to the chicken, black beans and salsa, but I also add corn. Its pretty tasty. The Weight Watchers Taco Soup is also Delish!

Morningstar Farms makes a really good veggie sausage patty. It sounds horrendous, but they're actually quite tasty. They're in the frozen section and only take like 45 seconds too microwave. Sometimes I have one of those on a toasted english muffin with a little fat free cheese. Delicious!

Google "Weight watchers taco soup." I like to cook up a big pot of this on a weekend and have it handy for lunches during the week. Most of the ingredients are inexpensive and don't require a lot of prep. Easy and tasty! You can also hard boil some eggs and keep them in the fridge for a quick breakfast or snack.
