Whether sugar is good or bad depends on what kind of sugar it is. If you are getting natural sugars, like fruits, milk, etc, then it's ok. You also need fat in order to sustain your body and to tell your body you're full. Take look at whether your sugars are added to the foods or natural, then see if you're still over,…

WOW!! That is wicked cool!!

First off, deep breath. When you have a lot of stressin your life, adding more by beating yourself up is just going to make you feel worse. You have to give yourself permission to mess up. And I know that's a really hard thing to do, but no one is perfect, and striving for perfection will make you crazy, and you deserve…

You aren't eating enough. Some days you are at a net of under 1000, you want a net of AT LEAST 1200, and most people need way more than that. Try increasing your calories instead of clamping down on them. It seems counter intuitive, but it works!

This is the medical side of it. Although, different people respond differently to different types of foods. I know that if I do something like the Atkins or South Beach, I don't lose more weight, I just end up exhausted. Other people swear by cutting carbs. Each person has to find what works for them, but health and weight…

It's obviously a personal choice what you want to use pre-workout, but a word of warning: any of these, especially anything with creatine, can put you into acute kidney failure if you aren't careful and fully hydrated. I've seen it happen to very health young people, it can happen to anyone.

Using body weight is always great, you don't need to use a hundred different machines, you can simply do a circuit at home or outside. Using a timer on your phone or something like that is good. Mixing things up is the best way to keep from getting bored.

You have to search for "strength training" under cardio, sounds silly, but it's set up that way on this site. You do get extra calories for strength training, definitely. Anaerobic exercise burns calories!

Weight loss that is that quick is water weight, and nothing to be concerned about. A woman's weight can fluctuate up to 8 pounds throughout the day. Pick 1 day each week and weigh yourself that day, at the same time each week for an accurate check of weight loss, although, remember that your menstrual cycle can wreak havoc…

This thing shows my "happy weight" as 146 lbs. I have only weighed that once, during a deployment, when I was 23. And I was not really all that happy... I had no boobs, no *kitten*, it was awful... oh, and at 23, I looked like a 15 year old boy! Why would I want that? My goal weight is quite a bit higher, 170ish... hmm...

Way to go!!!

not all branches do anymore. If you make weight for some, there are no body fat measurements.

Ideally, you should consume 1g protein for each lb of lean body mass. In your case 122 * 79.5% = 97 ish. That is, unless you are trying to build muscle mass, in which case, you do want to increase that slightly.

A Dr will often tell people not to eat more than the recommended 3-5 servings of fruit a day, because in the end sugar is, as most of these folks are saying, sugar, your body does not differentiate. This is why diabetics can not eat many types of fruits, such as apples, oranges, bananas. Too much sugar in these. Best fruit…

How much sleep are you getting per night? There is nothing that will substitute for a good night's sleep.

Way yo go, dude!! Oh, umm, you single? :-)

You are actually. And though you might see "good" results right now, in the future, too few calories is nearly always associated with too few nutritents. This can lead to osteoporosis, early onset Alzheimer's, dementia, heart disease, all sorts of terrible maladies.

You are correct about the different side effects from this. However, the gallbladder issues are due to the fact that due to the drospirenone can mess with some electrolytes and hydration, which someone else also mentioned, since it is a diuretic. This specific version of progestin helps with water weight gain during the…

I second, third, and fourth that!!!

A lot of the posters on here are saying they stay under 1000 cal a day, also. However, if you look at their profiles, they are tiny little females, 5' or therabouts. You need waaay more calories than that. Oh, yeah, and, add protein. You might lose weight, but it's going to be a lot of muscle weight. You're screwing…

I know I've posted this before, but BMI is an awful way to measure healthy weight. It doesn't take muscle mass or frame size into account at all. I know that when I am at a 25 BMI, I look really thin, I am 5'7" and 25 BMI for me is 159lbs. The lowest I've weighed as an adult was 150, and even the BMI is in the "healthy"…

You look amazing!!!! Great job!

Did you try putting it in the food part of your diary?

Not famliar with that method. There are so many different ways to measure body, and honestly, most are pretty unreliable. Remember, too, that even with losing inches on your waist, if you are building muscle other places, you might have larger measurements, and throw off the calculations... don't give up. Keep doing what…

How are you measuring body fat?

That is AWESOME!!! Congrats!

Oh, yes, I am READY!! Boston is going to ROARIN'!!

As far as I know, ephedrine is illegal? At least in the US... I am currently taking phentermine, definitely kills the appetite, and I actually feel really good on it. But, I did definitely change my eating habits, and that is something that has to continue once I stop taking it. Over the counter diet pills are mostly a…

Just start slowly. Very, very slowly, like waaay slower than you think you need to. Otherwise, you'll make it 3 minutes and want to die cause you can't breathe. It gets easier quickly if you're already in good shape, but running is just... hard for some people (me included) Good luck!!!

Wow, quite the response!! I'm active duty Air Force, 10 years in, looking forward to the next 10. :-)
